October 2004 - North American Arms is now shipping the new .17 Caliber Mini-Revolvers. The new .17 HMR and .17 Mach2 Mini-Revolvers are identical in weight and size to their .22 caliber Mini-Revolver counter parts. Like the .17 HMR, which is based on the .22 Magnum round, the new .17 Mach2 round is based on the .22 Long Rifle Stinger cartridge, necked down to accept a .17 caliber bullet. The combination of a smaller bullet with the equivalent powder gives the .17's much higher velocity than a similar .22 round. Ammunition for .17 Mach2 Mini's is currently available from Hornady, CCI and other manufacturers. |

The .17 Mach2 Mini-Revolvers feature a fluted cylinder. The .17 HRM Mini-Revolvers feature a bull or smooth cylinder. Conversion cylinders that allow the Mach2 cartridges to be used in with the larger .17 HMR Mini-Revolvers are not yet available. For safety reasons, NAA has designed the cylinders such that the 22 Caliber cylinders will not fit in .17 Caliber frames. NAA .17 caliber cylinders and NAA .22 caliber cylinders are NOT interchangeable. Please contact your local dealer to order your .17 HMR or .17 Mach2 Mini-Revolvers. The table below has part numbers for your convenience. |
