Rock Island .22 Magnum 1911
« on: March 23, 2013, 10:16:15 PM »
Hey, have you guys heard of this? I just found a video on YouTube from the 2012 Shot Show that features a Rock Island Armory .22 Mangum 1911! Now that's cool! It even has a top rail and a 15-round double-stack magazine.

Apparently the model is on hold while they are catching up with demand of other firearms. Can't wait for this one to come out!

Wow, this really is cool. I would be interested myself. .22 magnum ballistics impress me and its nice to see an another automatic handgun chambered in it, and its on a platform I know and love.

The obvious question: 9mm/.22 tcm/.22 magnum/.22 lr on the same frame? They'd have a winner on their hands if they could pull it off!

That would be strange, to join the 1911 club via the .22 magnum.  Looks interesting.

LOL. I'd join the RIA club that way--except I already joined by buying a .22 Micromag. Also known as .22TCM.
