Just received my new PUG .22 mag and I am curious on how to remove the grip. It appears to be a slip on grip but I want to replace it with an NAA finger grove over-sized grip once in stock again.

   Thank you.

Send a message to Bill Deshivs.  I am sure he knows.

I managed to tear the only one I tried to remove.

Calico_jack, others have reported success by lifting the edge of the

rubber with a toothpick and squirting oil under the grip, then twisting the

grip a bit to get it loose enough to come off. That being said, when I tried

removing mine that way I ripped my grip. I suggest having a replacement

grip on hand before removing the factory grip.

I just removed the factory grip myself two days ago. I was aware of the risk of ripping the grip per earlier notes on this website.

I simply put a couple drops of RemOil at the top of the gri; waited a minute or so, and then took my time pulling / twisting the grip off.

Worked beautifully. The factory grip did not tear.

From start to completion of removal was about 2 - 3 minutes.

I have placed and replaced mine a few times. Place a little rubbing alcohol or windex under the grip and let sit for about 30 seconds. Then using a twisting motion back and forth it should come off without much effort and in one piece. Same thing when you put it on; a little rubbing alcohol and it will go right on.

I used WD-40. Just stick the "straw" under the drip and give a quick squirt then gently work the grip twisting and pulling.

Petroleum products tend to eat rubber away possibly resulting in destroyed grips. It also does not evaporate after use resulting in the grip twisting around when replaced.

Alcohol products evaporate cleanly and quickly and will not eat the grips.

.....I don't use spit. I said I use "Spurt"!

Load is a very good lubricant and is also water soluble......

Works ok as a glue as well!
