... or is this a Seecamp clone.  Nice looking firearm, either way.  I especially like the all black.

Has been poster before, not sure but I don't think it has been released, and it looks more like the now defunct Autauga MKII 32.

tacc1

You're right, they do look vaguely familiar.

Now where have I seen those......?

New version of the Atauga .32. The Atauga came out before the NAA .32.

gcwimmer

The Autauga MK II was introduced mid year 1999, the Guardian 32 was introduced in 1997 which makes it after the Guardian 32, I bought mine in March 1998.

I think it is a sweet looking gun?  What is the quality?

chopprs

Hahahha, I am reading some of the reviews and although no one has reported any problems yet one of the writers explains the action as "DOA"!!! Hahahhaha

It is manufactured on CNC machines with laser cutting tools so the fitment at least should be good. I must say I do like the difference in the grip from the Guardian. That is the one problem that I have with the Guardian is that when I hold it correctly the barrel points downward and it looks like this design has attempted to address that issue.

Like to see one up close and personal!

I used to have an Autauga .32. I thot it was built pretty well and was lighter than the Guardian. I ended up selling it to fund something else. Not a bad gun, as far as I could see.

Various predictions on it's availability

"Waiting for a part." three weeks ago

"Shipped next week" - two weeks ago

"shipped in about two weeks" -this week.

antares_b

Looks like the Guardian and the Glock 26 had a baby.

engineer88

Yeah, looks like an Autuga clone.  Gonna be the first to jump out and say I hate the two-tone.  Makes it look cheap.  Even the blued version has a stainless trigger?  ugh

Guardians are better looking in my opinion and Seecamps are way better looking.

antares_b

I'm looking forward to reading detailed reviews and tests for this product line. So far, all I'm seeing is the same regurgitated press release.

Interesting that they chose to completely eliminate sights, like the Seecamp. But unlike the Seecamp and the Guardian, the frame is carbon steel instead of stainless. I also see that the capacity of the .380 version is only 5+1. I suppose they did that to keep the size minimal, but it's not great in terms of firepower.

Their media rep sent a notice that they say they are shipping them to distributors right now or are about to do so. Their projections about this have proven untrue in the past. It would not be surprising to hear that they have decided to wait until after The Hollidays and the SHOT show.

The last couple of years have been amazing for us 380 owners. After all those years of being scoffed at, now the manufacturers can not keep them in stock, new manufacturers have jumped into the competition, and ammo is still not as easy to find. What a turn around! It may not be a.45ACP but it fits in my front pocket.

I'm waiting for one of the manufacturers to realize some of us intentionally buy european style heel release in concealment guns of this size.  Much harder to "bump" off and a good share of people who carry these do not carry an extra magazine anyways so the minimal amount of time difference in dropping a magazine is meaningless.

I like the looks of this thing though

Their media representative passed along an announcement from the company that they are about to send them to distributors.  She passed the information along in good faith but it remains to be seen if this is any more accurate than other announcements ref: the availability of this design.

It would not be surprising if they announced that all  such distribution will be suspended until after The Hollidays and The Shot Show.

antares_b

Maybe by then, they'll have worked out all the bugs, along with the specs on weight and magazine capacity. I don't mean to knock the company, but their info on this gun has been inconsistent. Maybe that's to be expected in a first-generation design.

I like the looks, though (even more now that they've removed the front sight), and the "fully machined" angle.

heyjoe

the seecamp has the heel release , so does the rohrbaugh in 380 and 9mm.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

...Seecamp & Rohrbaugh have double the price-tag of the NAA G380 or Masterpiece MPA380..How do You justify the $-expenditure-$?? I had an AMT380 that I traded in for(+a few$$)My G380..The AMT had a "heel" release that, in a word, SUCKED..It took a whole lot of work with an assortment of files, just to make It usable..Even then, the release was too easily tripped, just when You REALLY didn't want it to...

gcwimmer

I have both Guardian.32 and a Seecamp.380, I do not find the heel release that difficult nor as of yet had it release but my Guardian has released numerous time over twelve years in my back pocket holster, I got in to the habit of reaching back and pushing the mag down just to make sure.

gunfitrip

The Seecamp materials contain detailed explanation behind no sites, high polish, size, heel release, dao, and I learned about the shape of the pistol. Alot of the things I had not really thought through. They convinced me after thinking it over.  I recommend reading that material. They are the only manufacturer that I know that speaks as frank and open about the self-defense purpose of their pistol.

gunfitrip

I'm sorry. This should have been posted on the Seecamp for sale thread.

...Hey Gc..NAA has a retro-fit, for the mag. release..Give Them a call..Their ph.#, is on the NAA web page..Gary...

gcwimmer

Got it, have had it for a while(retro-fit mag release).

...Darn,   And here I thought that I was going to be a hero, and solve the problem...
