So what do ya'all use to carry spare ammo? I've a Wasp .22 mag and surprisingly belt pouches seem hard to find. I'll probably end up making something myself.

Hi and welcome to a great forum!

I make 5 and 10 round wallets that I sell on eBay. They are for pocket carry and not set up for belt carry.
I keep saying I'm going to come up with a belt carry dump pouch but haven't done it yet.
One option I've seen if a belt that carries a bunch of .22 shells in individual slots, but not very discreet.

But really if you can't get the job done with 5 or10 rounds you may be in too deep of crap for what you are carrying.

(Picture is of one of my 10 round wallets.)

Pug,
Can't see a picture.
SH,
Have got one and it is an excellent option.

I really like the one I got from Pugmeister, fits right in my change pocket, it's made for the 22LR.
Welcome to the forum.

The Absaroka Kid makes a nice, large bullet pouch to wear on your belt - calls it a "Medicine Bag". Lots of colors and different designs. Will hold about 100 rounds of .22 lr

Now that we have the Sidewinder, has anyone heard of a speed reloader?

Speed loader won't work with the sidewinder at least none that have been developed yet . NO ROOM to slide shells .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

I use the tough strip 10 round 22 holder and you can load 2 at a time with them in the mini.

Usually carry 2 minis at same time and this gives me a reload for both guns with one strip.

I second the Absaroka Medicine Bag. Awesome pouch! And a work of art to boot.

Lotsa choices out there for sure. The Pugmeister pouch is hard to beat for discreet, compact carry. If more than five or ten rounds are desired,  the catch 22 is a great way to carry 50 rounds of 22lr. Works for me.

The Pouches are handy and small enough that you won't mind carrying it.

I carry one with 5 extra shells, another 5 shells in a pocket holster for my black widow.

So I carry 10 extra rounds and 3 Mini's daily.

It's handy enough to carry extras like this. I never hope to get in a fire-fight that I need to reload a Mini in!

I have used a mini Altoids box with a small piece of tissue on the bottom to keep the rounds from rattling.  I use it for my 22LRs & 22Mags.  It works for me, is crush proof, and provides urban Camo if removed from my pocket for some reason.  I buy the mints by the carton of nine (9), so there are always new boxes available as they wear.  Sorry no pics, but it is common enough to get the idea.

Plus 2 on the mini Altoids box. I use two pieces of anti slip mat in mine. No rattle and hold over 15 rounds of each caliber in separate boxes. A very easy carry.

Never thought of the mini-Altoids for ammo, good idea...

I did try to fit my 22LR in the regular Altoids can, but just a little too big. Too bad, would have been just the thing for those "bad breath distance" situations...
