I'm new here, so I ain't rightly certain. What is a group of mini revolvers called? I don't know whether to refer to mine as a bunch, a collection, a pile, or maybe a mob of minis. What do y'all say?

MR_22

From somebody who once owned 38 NAA's all at the same time, I think the correct term is "hoard" LOL.

"A start".  "The girls". "Not enough".

Then there's individual names.  For my Super Companion she's my "little black pain in the a$$."  We are in counseling . Still think she is cheating with antique Rem mod 6 rolling block. How else do I explain the mess in the lock up? Hoping for pups.

My "amusements" or the "wifes problem" after I go to meet my maker , Ha . ;D
She refers to it as "retirement funds" .  But I have refered to them as my "Kingdom of Virgin Safe Queens" .................. even though some of the 1800's models have questionable pasts I treat them as retired knowledgeable ladies and leave it at that .  ;)

Uncle_Lee

"Family" is the correct term for a shoebox filled with Minis & Guardians.

I didn't think of that....... :D
My wife is starting to bug me about getting rid of some of mine.
I talked to the local gun dealer and he agreed to take care of them for her.

I thought about being buried with them but I'd proably be grave robbed before sundown and myself be scattered all over the place like the poor Egyptian bastards . All sorts of critters carrying away ones parts , I particulaly likethe idea of an American indian burial up on the posts like they do but thats breaking thread again..  ;) ;)

A multiplication of minis?

CRitter

I like uncle_lee's term, but it doesn't  sound right to say that I took the "family" out to the range yesterday and shot them all. I don't have enough minis yet to call them a "hoard" but they do seem to be multiplying. Any more suggestions?

Lemon

If your collection is like mine, just one, then it is called Lonely. If anyone has any minis they would like to donate so Mr. Pugsley (my Sidewinder) will not be alone just let me know. I will care for it and give it a good home. Mr. Pugsley will appreciate having a companion. A 380 Guardian would be welcomed as well. I would love to have the 380 Guardian but no one has one in stock for me to actually see how the gun feels in the hand.

I think a "Brace" would fit the bill as to what to call it.

CRitter

I like the word brace, but it means two of something according to my dictionary. I'm looking for a term to use that can be used for more than a pair that everyone would agree upon. I looked up animal groups and there are herds, packs of wolves, litters of cats and dogs, coveys of quail, and tribes of monkeys. I even saw someone suggest a nag of wives and a jerk of husbands. I still don't know how to refer to my group of mini revolvers. Surely one of you sage and learned fellows can come up with the right term.

grayelky

If we follow CRitter's suggestion, a "flock" of crows is called a murder.

Naw, a Murder of NAAs may not go over well.......

A "brace of pistols" is an old pre center fire cartridge term for having a bunch of pistols on you when going into battle or boarding another ship so you can do a bunch of "New York Reloads" and improve your chances of survival. I think OV has a Pirate picture wearing a brace of pistols.

Well, if a brace of minis would be recognized as anything from a pair to as many as my pockets will hold, then I like like it and I will use it.

I've reconsidered, "not enough."
