Nice set up you have there!  ;D I may need to get some of those grips! (I have a couple holsters already!) lol!!!

Thank you for the feedback. I'm back in the shop today after being gone for 5 days so today will be "catch up day".

Thank you for that. Sometimes, it seems very few people know the amount of work that goes into hand made items. I have been to gun shows where 1/2 the people that come to the table are looking for a $15.00 holster. It took some years but I learned "Not everybody is my Customer".
After carrying in a generic holster for a while, some will understand.  :o

100% right Rick! I and several of my friend learned that over the years! A well made holster is hard work from the design to the execution. But done well they not only look and function well, but they last because they are not some sloppy one size fits some deal. Keep up the good work.

On this subject................... we see far too often people will spend an arm and a leg on their favorite pistol to carry and protect themselves thinking that if their life is going to be on the line then only the best they can afford is good enough; then they put said expensive pistol in a cheap and flimsy holster with little to no thought on the subject.

I say buy the best gun/weapon you can afford and then get a great holster to carry it in............. after all you are betting your life on the entire system working when the chips are down.

PS: I only carry custom made holsters: just a few for example.

  Decisions , decisions , they're all fashion statements .  ;) ;)  Let me modify that " very affective fashion statements " , that's better .

You have some nice gun leather there!!

Some people understand. It is usually the folks that carry everyday. They know that one holster will not work for everything they do, just like one gun will not do everything (as far as conceal & carry). Different dress for different occasions and weather limitations all play a role in what you carry and how you carry it.

The first time gun owner at a gun show is a dead giveaway. They walk up to your table with their new $900.00 gun and ask "Do you have a I.W.B. for my S&W 686 with a 6" Barrel?"
I tell them I can make a holster for them OWB and it will be $125.00 and 6 weeks to get it. They usually say something along the lines of "I was thinking of something for around $25.00". I send them on their way.

Nice rigs you have. Thanks for posting those.

Now I don't know about the ammo pouch. Uncle Lee's looks good to me and I do want black on Black...

I still like the black with blue stitching but the all black would still do the trick. I must comment on the laser on the BW. I am not a big fan of the way the BW looks but with that laser evening out the contours of the front I really like it. It looks just like an elongated Pug. I really like it.

No ammo pouch............... if you are going to carry reloads use a speed strip in a pouch. Tuff products makes a very inexpensive rig for said carry. Much easier and faster to get to without dropping the rounds all over the floor while trying to remove them from such a tiny little pouch.

Good looking Holster there "Uncle Lee"  :)

Thank you for posting! I have done quite a few BW Holsters that have the Venom Laser (Pancake, Cross-Draw as well as Pocket Style) they seem pretty common. I'm surprised that they quit making them  ???

Glad you like it. Thank you for your order and support.

I have learned so much about this brand of gun from everyone on the forum! I'm a fan of them as well (I have bought 6 in the last year   :o ) and have many more I want to collect. They are a great product and a great value!

This was first trip for BW.  7 yrds. Freestyle.  5 on right are superx,  5 on left are winchester 30 gr varmint.

This was 5 yrds. retreating ,and repeat same ammo, faster tempo.

This was 5 yrds retreating hornady 45 gr  self defense load. One miss at 11 o'clock
I think she's a keeper. ;D

Rick_Jorgenson

That is some good shooting! Practice does help.

All the Lasers and lights and red dot screens and anything else you can strap on a gun does not make up for not practicing enough.

I have nothing against lasers and such but I do think many folks that carry think that it will give them a false advantage over just shooting regularly. JMHO

Nice group!

RogueTS1

You are correct Rick. Most studies on the subject show that a laser will slow one's first shot by quite a bit compared to using the sights. A laser can be good when speed is not the issue at hand but a more precise shot may be needed.

I am not a sniper, or play one on TV so I may be wrong but, lasers may help if your on a rooftop with more time to focus on target than if you were confronted in a parking garage at 10 feet with a second or 2 to react.

On the rooftop your not using your Black Widow with Venom laser and in the parking garage your not carrying your AR-15 or Remington 700 for self defense (unless you live in a really bad area)??? lol!!!

Use what your comfortable with but practice with what you use. I have read posts of folks wanting the laser because it will "scare away the bad person" so they don't have to shoot. Maybe, but I will only draw if I have to shoot, the bad person makes that decision for me with their aggression
level.

A situation never plays out in real life like it does in your head. Caution, awareness, practice are what will keep you safe. I hesitate to count on something that is life or death, that runs on batteries.

I know many people like their lasers and they are really a cool accessory. Many customers like the Venom for the Black widow and it is a great design compared to others I have seen (for med to full size semi-auto's).

Rant over, I'm going to go to the range now and practice what I preach! lol!!  ::)

Practice and if your unsure... take a class. OK now Rant-over! Really.

I have put 700+ rounds through my BW...and between 2  22 mag guns over 2500 rounds in the past two winters.I do practice, But I have only put 80 + rounds through with the laser. I practice both ways, you never know what the situation might require. It is best if you know your gun inside out and it becomes like a part of your hand. I also practice with the laser and dummy loads (spent shells) to improve the trigger control. I would say an hour a week on trigger control with the laser on (to tell me how far I am moving off target) or with a bore-sighter on my 4" barrel...Besides it is just plain fun.

I have a Black Widow and a Kel-Tec with lasers.
If I am ever in a self defense situation it is doubtful if I take the time to play with the laser on either.
I like them "cause they are cool".
Some of us ol folks like "cool" too.

I agree Uncle Lee............ they are cool and hence make a quite possibly handy tool when mounted to a firearm.

Hey! the Dust Bunnies add some "flair" to a pocket rig! lol!!

I am so glad you like it!

The Black & Blue Holster has been showing up on the internet, I think when people are searching for NAA Holster. I get 4 to 5 calls a week specifically about those.

Here is a photo the Pancake in Black & Blue. I haven't done a cross-draw black & blue yet......

Thanks again!
