I don't think I've seen a Cerakoted mini yet so I'm going to bring my frame, trigger and hammer to FTW Coatings in Wichita KS to have them Cerakoted.

Problem in that there are a whole lot of nice colors to chose from.

What color do you think would look good on a NAA mini?
I should (hopefully) be able to post some pics by next Friday.

Thanks

Matte Black, maybe Flat Dark Earth....................look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Hmm.  Now i"m thinking about cerakoting my Pug OD green and putting G10 grips on it.  3:)
And Hades followed with him...

RogueTS1

If the G10 is black that could be an interesting look.

My laser grips are black too.

This calls for another Pug.

I like H-148 Burnt Bronze and H-146 Graphite Black

This H-189Q is pretty tight as well. "Noveske Bazooka Green."

I'm also looking to get mine done. Mind if I ask how much that place charges for that?

Ok, here's my idea for a cerakoted Mini:

Black trigger, hammer, and the flutes of the cylinder.  The frame and the rest of cylinder in whatever cool color you want.  I'm thinking this would look especially good with coyote brown, burnt bronze, and OD green.
And Hades followed with him...

My concern is the tight fit of the side plate to frame and the side plate hole / pin clearance.
Although Cerakote is applied pretty thin it still might be a little too thick in those areas to refit the plate.
I'm going to bring the gun to the guys at FTW and get their opinion Monday.

I can't understand painting a stainless steel gun. It's a waste of money.
Get the gun engraved-at least it won't wear off.

Don't let it bother you.
It's not the least bit necessary that you understand.

That's OK Bill, some people want pink bumpers on their baby buggy.

Exactly!
Cerakote is a good finish for refinishing a gun. It holds up better than bluing and protects better, but it is paint. It comes off. Finishes like plating and nitriding are far more durable than any paint, and cost about the same to have applied.
I guess if you are looking for a fashion statement, paint is OK.

I would prefer engraving also. My checkbook would prefer a finish of some sort. Right now I need ne more engraved mini (I have 2 sons). My younger son has a best friend that we "helped raise" - from about 11 to 18 or so, when my son went into the Navy, we fed him more than his Mom did. I know it would mean a lot to him if I left him an engraved mini also. And now, thankfully, I have a grandson......
