You talking about these ?

I have been looking for a grip similar to the lower one every since I saw you post the photo some time back.

They just aren't available unless you make your own.
Unfortunately I am not that talented.

Even though I make many of my own grips that particular set was made by Spresser grips , mammoth ivory they are .

There you go HeyJoe just about 4000 more periods to go and you'll get your chance at the EB's . To be honest I just might pass on this first run of top-breaks heck I never got into the EB's with the originals bought those for crazy prices like 700 and 800 buckaroos .

I think Sandy said a few hundred would be available for Early Birds and right now I don't think we have even 100 active forum members, maybe 50 of us actively participating in forum discussions  and many of these 50 have under 100 posts.Hopefully  we'll all get a shot at one. I'm still hoping the price will fall within my budget or I hit the lottery or something ;D

There are 5884 members.
100 of these have more than 160 posts.

I wanted to ask what others think of the EB purchase restrictions in this September Soapbox. I have 4 NAA revolvers, a small collection, and I do not usually post because I have no relevant information to add to a post. Now I find the pistol I have been waiting for at least 2 years will not be sold to me as an EB because I do not post on this message board. I have been a loyal customer and advocate for NAA but I feel this is not a fair process for a customer to try to order an EB Ranger 2. I'm not a young man and do not spend a lot of time on computers or message boards posting my thoughts. This may be my first post as a matter of fact but I am disappointed by the restricted process that will be put in place and wanted to know what others thought.
Thanks,
andy styron

Yeah, well, I'm stuck behind the Granola Curtain & won't be eligible for EB either, regardless of how many posts I may have. I'm just grateful that Sandy/NAA is throwing us that 4" bone [for those unfamiliar w/ the PRK's bizarre gun laws, we have an exemption to the CA DOJ "approved list" for single action handguns w/ a min 4" barrel length. Thank God our mendacious prior AG (now Senator) Kamala Harris didn't know about that when she unilaterally declared the microstamping waiver void, leading to our current situation where all the approved handguns are timing out & falling off the list!]

Good luck one & all in your EB wishes!

David Culp

Yes I want a ranger 2 or two but have not been a heavy poster. I hope I still get the opportunity to get one or two. I have 4 naa's  and will probably buy more.

geohuson

Still hoping to get my name added to the early buy list.  Hopefully Sandy will offer the combo 22mag & 22LR on the early buy with the 2" Barrel.

gofishr

As members of NAA we all been waiting on comeback of the Ranger we heard rumors little over two years and then Sandy confirmed that the return of the Ranger was come true. All we have to do is wait until the production starts. 8)

Warthog

Yes, it is true and I can't wait to see the new Ranger.  If I don't get an EB chance, then I will wait for full production.  It is sure to be a big hit!

Is Spresser still offering the mammoth ivory grips.
I understand they are for show and not daily carry but they certainly look great just setting there.

I LOVE Spresser's wooly mammoth grips. I still have a set, although I sold one when I let my Rangers go. :( They are beautiful. And, frankly, I think you'd be OK shooting even with .22-Magnum, and definitely with .22-LR. I chatted a bit with Spresser himself when I bought them and he figured they would be fine on an NAA with .22-Magnum. Larger calibers were not recommended.

Of course, you shoot at your own risk. Maybe his recommendation has changed since I purchased mine, which was quite a number of years ago.

MtGoat

Do you have contact information for Spresser?

Pat

MR_22

You could probably also contact him through eBay by finding one of his auctions and contacting the seller.

And by the way, to answer the original question, I don't see that he has any NAA wooly mammoth grips listed on eBay, but the ones I bought, I spoke for them before he listed them, so it doesn't hurt to ask.
