Hello guys!!! I'm new to the forum. I have an older model NAA 22lr revolver.I haven't used it in some time and got it out of the safe the other day to shoot & clean it along with a few other guns.I was messing with it, unloaded with the cylinder removed, & noticed that with the hammer in the half cock position if I pulled the trigger the hammer would still fall. Is this normal or is there a problem with the gun. I researched before asking and noticed another tread talking about a false half cock position that the hammer could bind in when easily lowering it down from a fully cocked position. That is not whats going on with mine. Mine, I simply pull the hammer back with minimal pressure from uncocked to half cock, as if you would to remove the cylinder, and then if you pull the trigger the hammer falls. I don't know it it falls with enough force to fire a round, I did not try it loaded, but it still seems a little unsafe. Like for instance, if I were to try to put it in half cock to unload the gun. The gun still fired and everything else functioned normally. Thanks for the help!

I would definitely have someone look at that. Send it back to NAA as suggested by Bigbird48. Lifetime warranty!

When you say "older", how much older? Does your cylinder have the safety notch (a notch in solid SS, that goes nowhere, just for the hammer to rest in, between firing points)? If it does not, and you plan on carrying it, by ALL MEANS, send it to NAA. They will not only repair it, they will replace your cylinder, hammer, trigger and all internal parts, as well as anything the gunsmith notices that has more wear than he thinks it should, all at no charge. As a bonus, they will tumble your frame and barrel in their polisher machine thingy (a technical gunsmithing term :)), giving your returned firearm the look of a brand new gun! Bottom line: call NAA, ask for Ms Jessica (a sweetheart to deal with!) and she will take care of your currently unsafe firearm, and send it back.

I have older NAA Minis and mine don't do what you describe.  Maybe contact NAA and see what they will do to fix it?

The hammer should not fall from half cock.
