I have signed up multiple times and never received a newsletter.  Many are in the same boat.  But on the home page there is a Newsletter sign-up at the bottom right.  Good luck with that.

Curious who has had, or does have an origional Ranger?
How do you like it, and how well is functionality vs. The Sidewinder?
I ordered an EB ranger and also have an EB sidewinder. The ranger has a charm and nostalgic appeal, and operates fine. However, to me, the sidewinder is by far a more functional piece. Some folks have/had problems with the opening, closing, and ejecting of the SW.  Mine has none of those problems. Plus I like the looks. To sum up my opinion, the SW is the better piece to use, and the Ranger is something to look at and remember the old days. The SW is the more advanced, stronger design. That being said, I will sign up as soon as possible for the Ranger II.

Been lurking and reading the monthly updates as well. I've always been a reader vs a poster. Too bad a lot of us may not be able to pre-order.

As members of NAA we all been waiting on comeback of the Ranger we heard rumors little over two years and then Sandy confirmed that the return of the Ranger was come true. All we have to do is wait until the production starts.  8) 8)

My Cabela's has not carried an NAA in years, I keep looking but none.  If I can not get the Ranger II through Early Bird, then will have to try some online dealer which I really do not want to go through. Please allow me into the Ranger II early bird, Thanx

scottm

You need to post above 14 times in order to get out of the bottom bracket, but I think quality post have more meaning, not sure what the criteria is though as have read that NAA was only considering post before September for Early Bird. Ohh wellll, will have to wait until 2018 to get a Ranger, I have been reading post for a few years, but have not posted often. The few times I did post I always tried to give helpful advise, I researched for 4 months before buying my Sidewinder.  I am now all set now to get the Ranger II.

Uncle_Lee

You don't get a trophy by standing along the route of the Marathon.
You have to get in there and run with the runners.

Just hang in there a little longer.
Sandy said that the Early Bird program would only last around 30 days.

Yes, good things are worth waiting for.

motter

I'll be interested in a Ranger 2  but I doubt I'll have enough posts or enough cash this autumn for an early bird buy.

I will definitely have to have 22LR as part of the package.

Just have to wait a  little bit longer.....

jordan

I have been a member of this forum for 5 years, I just don't post, not much chance of getting on the early bird list.

Don73

+1, All good things are worth the wait. I suspect when production is in full swing, everyone who wants one should be able to get the Ranger II this year, hopefully.

Ruger

I post no more or less than normal, 'cause posting a few additional comments just wont make much difference if indeed the count is used as a measuring stick.

Was out shooting my NAA pocket companion, can hardly wait for the Ranger II, to give me the faster reloads!

Ole N. Decrepit

;D well, in less than a month, the count is over 1088 on
This subject alone.  And now we're  in fall and closer every day to the early buy.  Let's hope Christmas comes early.

I guess I'll be out of the running as well for one of the EB Ranger IIs.
With just a small number of items being produced and a huge fan base I understand that this is probably one of the distribute these items. Its seems fair to award their fan base instead of making up a lottery type system which most people might just either try to resell or store and hope for outrageous future resell.

I hope that NAA will keep producing these items through out the upcoming years and hopefully these will just be a common item available and kept in the NAA catalog.

I'm Gad a couple of guys are talking some kind of tactics in sticky situations. A clear, determined frame of mind is your greatest asset. My mind was racing on other ideas just now... and I was wondering if Sandy has ever considered the practicality of speed loaders for the Ranger II, or perhaps even a double action version?

SachimO

I've been following the ranger 2 project for about 18 months now but missed the last couple soap box post until this past week. I am slightly dissapointed that the the determining factor of who is to be considered for the EB is based on the number of post. I and it appears many others may not have the time or desire to banter on Web forums in order to get brownie points to be considered for the EB. I've posted positive and encouraging feedback for NAA to keep after the Ranger 2 project in Sandys soapbox but just learned of this message board. Looking around, there are so many guys who've made several thousand post so Im pretty sure those of us who don't have as much computer time will be waiting for quite a while. No worries l, I waited a long time to get my hands a s&w shield when they first hit the market. I suppose if I've waited this long just to see whether or not NAA would actually produce this beautiful work of art then i can wait along with the rest of the common folk. I just hope they build way more than 200-300 hundred before releasing the EB so that they won't be lagged so badly when the full release comes. Out of the thousands of members, I'm sure not all them are into top breaks so there is some hope there I guess lol. I've had the money set aside for my next firearm purchase for over a year now just for the Ranger 2. Can't wait to see and feel this little gem.

Just my 2 cents, I think ones that HAVE bought EBs before should be ahead of someone who can sit at home or work and chat it up all day. It proves they are a NAA fanatic if bought previously.

Not sure I agree with your logic. I go to many gun shows and always always pick up an NAA product and wish it was a ranger. Just because someone lile me who doesn't have as much time to read and post on every topic shouldn't mean that I can't be considered for an EB. I would almost argue that if you've received several EBs that one should be considered last for the next one as I can be just as a fanatic without spending hours and hours posting here. I also know that NAA employees read these post and ultimately will decide who gets to be on the EB list so I'm not trying to be petty here. I've been waiting a long time for the Ranger 2 and will wait as long as needed. I just don't think that people who already own Rangers should be considered for the EB because they would only be getting a II so they can sell it or their orginal ranger for profit. I'm a tad annoyed as I read through the old post back when the first ranger came through and those guys had the option to buy multiples. Anyways, congrats to those who make the all too short list of EBers.

A lot of crying going on about how the early bird is going to work. Whatever Sandy wants is what its going to be. I'm surprised sometimes that he still does an early bird with all of the whining and crying over this isnt fair, that isnt fair..wahhhh!Be grateful that he does an earlybird and shows appreciation for his customers.......that is becoming an increasingly rare exception in the firearms manufacturing industry and i for one appreciate it.

There's speed loaders available for the LR and mag.

Hey Joe your right, I think all of us appreciate that Sandy appreciates us and shows it. The big thing is customer service #1 in the industry  :)

Recently, I spoke to the folks at NAA.  I was looking for a 6 inch Earl and couldn't find one anywhere.  I talked to the nice lady for a while and told her about how another nice lady, who has since retired, had been very nice to me on previous early birds.  I told her about many things and we spoke for a long time, then she told me about the Ranger One and how the folks at work there at NAA were not able to get one.  She said they had all gone to the Early Bird people and they had been left out.  She said they were all excited about the new Ranger Two and thought that they would be OK as they had the price to the point where it would be a regular production item.  I told her I thought so too because I had left the forum before and had only returned to hope for a Ranger II.  She said Sandy would tell them how things would go for the EB and until then no one knew.

I told her I would wait if I didn't get an EB and she said she understood and that the folks there at NAA would also wait for their chance as it is sure to be a great selling item for them.

It is a rarity for companies to have an EB or group buy option. Besides NAA I have only seen HK do a group buy for its fans

I see a lot of complainers over the EB policy. Even though I am not likely to order as an EB (or even qualify), I agree with the policy. It is not the lurkers who make a forum grow or add information or contribute in some small way. It is indeed those who have been on and posting that contribute to the quality of the forum.

Well, I don't have either.  I will survive and will see if I can get one of them eventually.  If I don't, I will live.

WOW Warty With all your posting Ithought you were trying to get your count up for a Early Bird call from NAA but with that attitude you surely won't . To eachtheir own I guess but they feel reeaaallll gggooooooddddd in the hand , ha ,ha ,ha . The Hogleg is as accurate as any long barrel can be and holds target like no other NAA as for the Ranger shes still virgin  and always will be till whenever .
