Last month they printed an article on the Earl & the Pug. The velocity figures made no sense. Now this month they have acknowledged the numbers were WAY wrong.
The new tables do show one perhaps odd fact. It seems to indicate that it is a waste of money to shoot .22 Magnums out of the Pug.
Of course the table is so small that could be too much of an assumption to jump to.
Fed Champion FMJ mag 40 gr vel 848 fps, Win  Super X 40 gr mag JHP 831 fps.
Fed Champion 36 gr Hp .22 LR 869 fps, Win 36 gr JHP(?) .22 LR 861 fps.

I just checked. They do call it JHP but it really is copper plated.

I'm lretty sure the Magnum loads that are optimized for the short barrels have better numbers than that. (Hornady Critical Defense, et al.)

That being said, there's nothing wrong with LR ammo!   ;D
