Who's got a Ranger and expecting an EB invite for the II

Just wanted to throw this out there. Obviously I'm new here and it's quite possible that the few post I've made have been in an attempt to gain favor in the NAA overlord's eyes lol. I will say that I've been following Sandys soapbox for well over a year and didn't even know there was a forum until his last update on the Ranger ll project. Although I admit I don't own any NAA product, I've had money set aside for a ranger 2 because i wanted it to be my first naa revolver. I've always admired the minis for their looks and craftsmanship but have had other arms to purchase in front of them. An NAA pistol will be in my pocket before the end of the year for sure whether it's a ranger2 or and .22 mag. I'm just curious to see how many here are just as excited about the ll as I am and if who is pining for the EB

Cheers

I don't have the Ranger model but I do have a few of the other minis in my collection. As far as being a participant in the eb program I'm not sure but I heard it may be based on post counts here in the forums so I'm guessing that you and I will be waiting for when they start mass producing them. I'm patient but wouldn't turn down the opportunity to buy early if it were to arise. We'll see.

I have one of the original break tops, and am looking forward to the EB, and even the regular production Ranger II. Kinda like uncle_lee: He buys pairs, I buy sets,i.e. I have the 2 1/2" Sheriff, 3" Earl and 4" Earl. How I have missed the 6" Hogleg, I am not sure.

Same here, IDK if I will get an EB but I expect them to be a good product and sell well.  If not and EB, a regular production is fine.

Esummerlin,
I don't think you will have a Ranger in this year. Go ahead and buy a Black Widow.

Hey grey, I think Bud's has the Hogleg.

Got two of the originals so I think they need a companion

I have a couple of the original mini's that I bought in the early 80's. I'm happy with them and they are more like old friends than gun. I actually don't want the new break top. If I'm going to buy something more expensive and heavier I'll get a alloy J frame Smith.

I like my old ones, I like the simplicity, and most of all, I'm used to them. Once I'm used to something, I hate to change. A personal quirk.

Canoeal

Nope, neither. Just a good working Black Widow. If I buy another, it will either be a second BW or a Wasp.

The Black Widow is a great firearm and you should get one now.  The Ranger II will come out and be regular production and I will get what I can when it happens.  I am in no hurry, I may be old but I am not currently dying any faster than the rest of the race.  There is time and waiting is something I have gotten used to...

Canoeal you have to have another BW plus have its big brother especially being out in the field or water in you case .

Hey OV,
Where'd you get those nice oversize rosewood grips? Are they as comfortable to shoot as they look?

OV-1D

These are the NAA's old style oversized and very comfortable I feel . Might find them on the gun auction sites from time to time .  ;)

Geeze, who invited that kid . .  ::)

(Don't be offended, just an old bedsheet joke from Toy Story . . . just seemed to fit into the conversation - enjoy the J-Frame!)

Lol, I've got my J-frame on me now. It's been awhile since I've carried it but just felt like it today. It was calling to me wondering why it stays hidden as my bedside companion (well, one one side anyway).
S&W model 60-14. Love the thing. However, it's just a "bit" bigger and heavier then my usual BW I carry.
I gotta say though, the .357 is a comfort...  lol

Yours are a thing of beauty OV!!  :)

I really like my "Square Barrel" guns.  They consistently see the most carry time.

The tape on the Mini Master is to hold a shaped dowel for a sight track and a block behind the adj. rear sight to accommodate room in the leather to draw & re-holster.  The wet leather is molded around them so it stays that shape when dry.

"See honey, all these guns are working guns"   that's what I tell Mrs. Desert Gun Leather!  lol!!  ::)

OV-1D

Yeah Rick I'm a real sucker for long barreled handguns and a wet laid holster just brings out the shapes so well with the squared corners .

Nope, mine will be a second carry gun...Hence the BW, which I carry now, or the slightly smaller Wasp 15/8"...

I used to go into Idaho Leather to visit and smell. :)
Alas, Ben passed away and the kids did not have the passion for the profession.
I have to go to a saddle shop to get my leather fix now.  :o

I got in on the early bird for the Sidewinder. I have never "won" much in life but I got in on the first 20 that got sent out.  I had it sent to the shop in town and they didn't apparently know it was coming so they put it in the counter and a customer was fumbling it when another sales associate put a stop to it and set it back for me.   I nearly didn't get it.

I hope to get one of these as well but I don't necessarily want a low serial number. I'll never shoot the other  the serial number is too low.

Oh, man. Colt pocket models. Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Peter Lorre with his rumpled white suit. Monte Carlo in the long ago. Lost 50's. .32 caliber is preferred by this Spectator. (Dare I capitalize?) I guess I did.
