Totally shocked Called to have work done on more firearms Teddy Jacobson from actions by T can no longer take any more work in and not due to his health.  After 40 years he told me of doing gunsmith and being a licensed firearms dealer for that time  to do gunsmithing not retail business the ATF is no longer going to renew his license out of his home.   Teddy told me that the ATF told him they are no longer letting any kind of home dealers no matter what it is gunsmithing is not a loophole to have a license if he doesn’t have a retail location ATF now he’s going around pulling all of the licenses  on renewal.  This is what Teddy told me as of yesterday the ATF has contacted him and said the home dealer tabletop dealers will no longer be Allowed they don’t know how all these people slip through the cracks  that a law was passed many years ago that you must have a  retail location. ATF also told him as people go to renew they are not going to be renewing these licenses. Teddy is totally devastated and beside himself Teddy has contacted many people  trying to help him he’s got nowhere so as of July he told me he will no longer be doing any more gunsmithing because the license expires. Teddy said he’s just totally totally blown away by this I feel terrible for the man he was nothing but great to me and his work was very good.  Plus he  fell  on hard times he has medical bills  now he has no way of making a living.

And the Left continues to nibble away slowly on the edges . . . .

As with many of our regulator agencies, the ATF is run by mostly left leaning bureaucrats that make regulations that allow them to control, fine, or arrest citizens, even though these people were never elected nor were the regulations passed by congress. Just as in Operation Choke Point, the left continues to fine ways to reduce the firearms community and their ability to operate in a free society.  The swamp is alive and well.

I doubt this information is totally correct.
For years ATF has denied home licensing for dealers-IF LOCAL ORDINANCES PREVENTED DOING BUSINESS FROM THE HOME.
Otherwise, they will issue a home-based FFL.
I know this because I went through this with them in the early 1990s.
Perhaps the rules have changed, but I doubt it.

I feel sorry for the gentleman. He has spent years building a business and now they are taking it away. I suspect if he shows them he is actively looking for a storefront, they would likely give him a little time to locate one and get moved in. On he other hand, I have spent years building a business and I have had to compete with people operating out of their basement. It is definitely not a level playing field. I have to have upwards of $2000 each month IN PROFIT just to stay open. I have been competing with people who do not pay rent, nor commercial phone rates, not commercial internet rate, electricity, etc. I have had my business broken into 4 times. I have never lost a firearm, nor anything of significant value (I put ALL of my guns in the safe every night). The cheapest burglary cost me $2200.00, which is below the deductible of the insurance. Level playing field? He77 no. Unfortunately, my gunsmith operates out of his home. He does not actively sell guns, but, if he is offered a "fix this one, I'll give you this one" deal, he will of course, take it. I hope he slides under their radar.

Well gray, put in a taco stand in the corner and that will pay the monthly bills.
All your firearm and acc. sales will be pure profit.

In his blog, Teddy had more than a few rants against all Guardians. Poor design, bad springs, bad rifling, etc., etc.. Makes one think he had a bad experience with one that started a real vendetta......
