To Old To Run

Man after my own heart there Bj.
Now just put it in your pocket and watch it get shinny. ;)

Where's your mini?  Looks like my first mini is in my hand, just got it tonight.
Cool. I've been thinking of getting a set of those grips but have heard mixed reviews (mostly from the magnum users having them break after firing, recoil breaking the plastic) After you've fired a few rounds with them let me know what you think. Hope they work out well for you.

Grips work good for shooting.  For me pressing and holding the buttons on both sides to release for closing the grip is a little hard.  Maybe I just need a little more practice.

It's hanging from clip in my jeans pocket.  I told one grandson I had something to show him and turned so he could see it.  He said did you get a knife, I said no, he said a gun.  Then I showed it to him.  He knows I have bought several guns in the last few years and he still at first thought it was a knife.  I liked that it wasn't obviously a gun to him.  A stranger on the street not knowing me would likely never guess what it is.  I need to be careful getting it out of my pocket so I don't move the hammer.

I would think that removing it from the pocket wouldn't chance moving the hammer. In any case be careful not to damage any of your parts in the process.

Right now my pug is in the drawer of the hotel room that I am staying in. Gonna head out for some chow soon so in the pocket it shall be.

Front left pocket at all times.

My 22lr is where it almost always is: front right pocket in a DeSantis holster with 5 extra rounds.it is there so often that it feels very weird when I can't carry it!

SeaOtter, I feel the same way if I am not carrying a gun of some kind, even at home.  When I go to see a doctor for an appointment, I leave it in the car because they always ask if I have a gun on me.  I forgot one time to leave it and the doc reached over and grabbed my hip, wanted to check me over for swelling (had just gotten out of the hospital with a bad infection that happened because my foot swelled up and split my skin(Diabetes and kidneys are failing)).  He grabbed my gun, then said "What is that?"  Told him it was my gun and he asked me not to bring one into the office again.  He has been good to me so I leave it behind now.

I carry mine in the front pocket of my shorts or sweat pant pockets, when I take my dogs out. I also carry it as a backup when the weather gets colder in my outer garment pocket.

Wimp. I do not mind guns brought into the office. As long as they stay holstered when no bad guys are around I am good with it. Back up is always a good thing.

It should feel weird not to carry it!

Once we got to Texas and bought the house, it felt soooo good to be living in a state that let me practice ALL my constitutional rights. Even the second. After spending most my life on the over populated citified east coast, and having to hide my gun everyday for fear of jail time, it feels sooo good to carry like our founding fathers intended. Now, my mini in my Desantis pocket holster feels like part of my attire and I feel weird if it's not there. And we're so lucky to be able to.

Most of the rest of the world does not have our rights to carry. Some other countries are police states. Some are just very restrictive. The United States alone has such sweeping was to allow us to defend ourselves and loved ones. We need to show our appreciation by carrying every day we can, everywhere we can.

yep been there done that. The wife and I were returning from a 2 week bike trip to Nova Scotia back in he 70's. We took the ferry from Yarmouth to Portland  Maine. When we arrived back in Portland and road the bike off the ferry it was pouring rain and the custom officer made us unpack everything on the bike right in the parking lot. open every thing up. Needless to say we and everything we had with us was soaked. It seems like everytime I go to Canada I have a harder time at customs returning then when I enter their country. Go figure Huh

Unc's experience reminds me of the time driving past St. Louis on the Rt. 70 bypass also in the 70's, on the way to UMR.   I was pulled over on a random drug search; you know, young, long hair, crappy car, happy thoughts, future ahead, etc.  The officer was polite and all, but they completely unloaded my car that had all of my stuff for the next year packed in tight.  Yup, after stripping the car out, including the spare tire and such, they let me go with a crappy comment and all of my belongings on the side of the highway. My stuff just didn't go back the way I packed it at home.  The whizzing cars and trucks put a sense of urgency in me for some reason . . .
Oh yes, open the lights, remove the tank, take off all covers & remove the seat.
Been there, done that.....

You just banged another memory.

I think I'll just smile and keep it to my self.

I typed it all out and decided not to share it.
