Any word when you'll get your Ranger back or why it's taking so long?

Bigbird48

Email from Rachel
I apologize about the long wait, since it is a new gun they are still trying to work out the little bugs. They are hoping to have the accuracy problem solved soon but I will keep you updated.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Rachel
A second email said it would be a few more weeks. I saw a post I think from BJ said they were putting new sights on, but I wasn't told that from NAA.

I also saw a post talking about some of the guns going to the range and something about new sights. I'll be curious to see what the outcome of that is.

Me to Joe, I got this gun back in Oct and its been in my possession less then 20 days in all that time. I'm thinking waiting 2 years to get it then all this down time, that maybe this is not the gun for me. My BW is always with me and the bugout I like more and more each day and my others seem to be good although they don't get shot much, ranger may  become a safe queen or get sold to buy something else  :(

Sorry to hear that Bigbird. I guess only you can make that call. I'm sure I would also be disappointed if I were in your place. It's easy to say hang in there but not always easy to do  :-\

Bigbird48

Well I'm hangin in here but its getting harder to do :-\

PaducahMichael

My last email (yesterday) said one of my Rangers is ready, the other will take a few more weeks. They say they are still having trouble with sticking in the cylinder. I'm not complaining because I certainly want it to be RIGHT when it comes home.

It does, however, seem odd to me that they are having problems with sticking brass in the cylinders....I mean, so far, every NAA I own has a cylinder and it's never come up before. Curiouser and curiouser.

Oh well - some day this will all be behind us and we'll live happily ever after with our Ranger II's.

I waited until long after the bugs were worked out to purchase my BW.  Glad I didn't jump on the band wagon.  Early Black Widows had problems too.  I've had no problems at all.  I would have been frustrated and impatient if I had joined the club early on and had to work through the issues at the start.  I'll not buy a SW or other fad guns until they are proven to be reliable.  I enjoy the advice and experience of guys who learned the hard way!

My (Short) mini is somewhere between there and my FFL... scheduled to be delivered tomorrow 👍

Hopefully it will arrive early enough for me to get to the range to try it out tomorrow.

Well my Ranger II is resting comfortably in its box until I decide when I'll send it back for another look over by NAA.

Never mind I found your report

Did I miss a report of yours somewhere? Why are you considering sending it back again ??? Mine is still there, haven't had an update from NAA in I don't know how long :(

Yeah I'll wait for things to settle down a bit and then send it back. Let me know when you get yours and how it functions upon return.

PaducahMichael

Mine have been there for 6 weeks now. I'm starting to suspect that they don't yet know what is wrong and how to fix it. I'm sure they'll get them fixed eventually. Being patient.

That's one reason why I'm not in a big hurry to send it in. I'm gonna let them figure it out and then send it back. I'd rather have it here and not shoot it then have it in someone else's hands and not be able to shoot it (or even look at it.) I'm still optimistic and patient.

So am I the only one who feels this way? Normally I carry my Pug but this week with the exception of today I had been carrying my Black Widow. I almost felt guilty like I was cheating on my Pug.  :-\

It'll be back before you know it. And the days of repair will have come to an end.

I always carry my BW but been thinking about switching to the bugout but I'm worried the BW will be mad at me ;D  quote author=smokeless joe link=topic=13984.msg150246#msg150246 date=1521770333]

PaducahMichael

My minis are sleeping. Tomcat is on duty.

Sidewinder was on duty yesterday while out and about. Tomcat is awaiting more range time. And a new Taurus Poly PT22 is headed for break-in at the range in 48 hours.

Gotta tell ya... my Sidewinder will be my constant companion right into the nursing home. Great little revolver that disappears in the pocket.
