It always seems to me the hotter the load the more expansion of cases thus sticky casings .
I agree with your logic

Warthog

I do too OV1D, but a polished cylinder seems to be the best fix, and I know from experience that even a higher powered round will just slide out without sticking.

It is certain to be what I do to my Ranger II when it is available.

Another variable is the crimping of the load whether its a tight or looser round .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Well, I know I can make it work but then I also know that most here doubt me.

I can also be sure that no one here would give me a hand if it was needed so I will do it on my own.  ;)

Polishing the cylinder chambers is what most Cowboy Action shooters do to get the casings to just drop out of their SAA's. I know it works on my .45's and I don's shoot powder puff loads. I shoot full powered loads from mine.

When do you expect to see the ranger II on the NAA products website?  November 1?

Bj

Do you expect the ranger II will be about the same weight as the BW but have a slightly shorter overall length?

Warty, how do you polish the chambers in the cylinder? I might want to do that on a couple of my revolvers.

In the grand scheme of things that's really not too far off.

Some just spin a bore brush in a drill.  Some wrap fine steel wool (0000) around that.  I'm thinking that some of these -

with some Flitz or SimiChrome polish would leave a dandy smooth finish.

Eve with case expansion a smoother cylinder bore will help because if you force a case against a smooth surface there  is nothing for the case to "interlock" with in the surface of the cylinder, plus there is naturally less friction between two polished surfaces.

They make specific tools to polish the cylinder, check out Brownells.

What's your guess, will all the EBs go to Bullseye?

Probational user                    0-14
Gunfumbler                         15-49
Sometimes hits the target    50-99
Outer ring                          100-249
Middle ring                         250-499
Bullseye                             500-above

I was hoping it'd be more random, it's not looking good for me.

Yes that is very true I use the Hornady FXT tip 22 Mags and they are a hot little load and always seem to stick.
