Sold my Wasp maybe a year- year and half ago, kinda missed it so I did a buy it now today from Gunbroker. USPS money order on the way. Kind of matches my 649-3 with a white dot and laser ;D.

Great, the Bug Out is a nice little Mini.  I love mine and it is only a 22LR with a tritium front sight.

Pretty good chance I will acquire one of the mag only to use as my EDC.

Crazy question, Adk ...  Can I ask how much it was?  I actually just put a "watch" on two GunBroker listings today ... and now one of them (the cheaper one, I think) is missing.  Just curious ... because I like to learn from my inaction.   ::)
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

Adk.IBO

Yeah, probably not me, $469.99 w/ shipping. Probably high but seemed fair to me. It will just make sure I keep it longer for the inflation to catch up...

My LGS now has about 25 NAAs on its website. I am sure it is what is in the warehouse, but sidewinders, Pugs, holster versions BWs all in stock to purchase new. Now all I need is a paycheck...

Comparing to that site I didn't do to bad considering I got the extra cylinder...

Yeah, you did really well, Adk!  I ended up buying the same gun (Talo Laser Ported Conversion Pug) right after you, and mine was just under $480 all-in--which I also think was freakin' good.  I currently carry my regular Ported Pug every day, so now I plan to incorporate this one into the rotation--since it has the laser.  Looking forward to getting it within the week.   :D

Thanks. I forgot about the waiting, definitely not the fun part!

I do like the Bug Out, perhaps after the New Year, I will send mine in for a Magnum Cylinder.  Then I will need another holster so I can carry it.

Why is this hobby so exspenvie! :'(

Because, like a divorce, its worth it.

I have never been married and have no children.  So I suppose I really don't get what you are saying Grayelky. ;)

Hey, Warty:
I like the BugOut, too.  In fact, I just picked one up the same day you did.  But Adk and I actually just picked up new Talo "Pugs."  At least I did, and I think that's what Adk got, too ...  Adk?

I have three Pugs too.  The Bug Out with a Mag cylinder though, might just replace my Black Widow or at least give me something to rotate with it.

Of course the Ranger II will likely become my pocket carry for a while until the longer barrels start coming out at least.  I would like one with a 2 inch barrel I think and make it my EDC.

I hear ya', Warty ...  I love the feel of the Bug Out.  The crazy thing is, I'm not sure why they launched it with a magnum frame, but with an LR cylinder only.  Maybe they just expected we would do exactly what you said, and buy another cylinder.  Or perhaps they anticipated future conversion models like we're starting to see.   Hmmmmm ...  I'm beginning to see this as actually a brilliant business move!   ;)

Well, here was what I thought when I first saw it was on a Mag frame but shot LRs.  It is a Bug Out gun, you are far more likely to find a lot of LR ammo as you are trying to survive after whatever calamity happened than you will finding Mags.  Every farmer in the country has a 22 LR somewhere for mice and stray cats and dogs and all sorts of varmints.  So they are sure to have some ammo laying around for the LR.  So making it an LR shooter makes sense to me for that reason plus the Mag frame is bigger and easier to shoot than the LR Size frame, at least for me it is, which makes this an all around pistol for when the collapse happens. ;)

I like the way you think, Warty.  You're probably exactly right about the selection of 22LR.
And BONUS: This thing is built like a tank.  It will probably outlast the end of the world as we know it!   ;)

I have an even stranger idea for making it in LR only - the gun would fit in that cute little box, but 22mag ammo box wouldn't fit due to its extra length. Someone who has the Bug Out can verify. I'm just guessing.

A box of 22's does indeed fit the box.  Another thing that makes it a good deal for a BugOut plus the box keeps everything dry.

I don't think a box of CCI Stingers will fit..

USPS "delayed" my 3 day money order delivery, any recourse with them? Makes the wait a little longer. Ugh!

My Bug-out NAA was delayed 10 days. It went into limbo-land for over a week. Not sure what happened. It is Christmastime, though. Good luck with yours.

USPS is not the only problem.  When Heffron Firearms, Charles City IA was doing gunsmithing, he told on his web site of a friend of his who had bought a gun from Maine on GunBroker.  It was shipped UPS, got to Des Moines, IA, where it was sent to Columbus Ohio, back to Des Moines, then Columbia Missouri, back to Des Moines, Memphis Tennessee, back to Des Moines, Kansas City, back to Des Moines, Denver Colorado, and the man told them at the Des Moines center that when it got back to Des Moines from Denver, to call him, and he would drive down to Des Moines and pick it up.

My GB dealer received my money order late Friday so the gun will ship out to my FFL Monday, I'm relieved.

It's now Monday evening and the tracking info has been upgraded to usps has possession so it's on it's last leg ;D

Wednesday morning, my Talo Pug is in Albany about 2-1/2 hours south of me. Could be today, probably tomorrow ;D.

Thursday afternoon: It arrived at my FFL, off to the county seat tomorrow to get it entered on my pistol permit. Then I will possess it tomorrow afternoon at the latest. I was able to have it in my paws for maybe 5-10 minutes while he did his paperwork, I think I will like it! ;D ;D ;D

I made it to the county seat to amend my NYS pistol permit so I could possess my Talo Pug, through a nasty snowstorm. 2 tractor trailer wrecks, multiple cars off the road. I won't be able to shoot it till later next week with holiday activities etc.. I think the laser will need sighting in, if the xs sights are true. The laser makes it a little different to put the hammer down on the safety notch compared to my Wasp. That's just something to get used to. Everything is crisp and in need of break-in or so it seems. Been a year, year and a half since I had a mini and the Pug with the laser is tiny compared to the Wasp with a CVang grip. I do like the CVang, not comepletely sold on the laser but willing to give it a fair shot (pun intended). I like the xs sights. More later.

Nice, John.  I just got mine this week, as well.  Haven't shot it yet, but am strongly considering switching to the CVang grips.  Like you, I'm planning to try it first with the laser before making my decision.  Here's my TALO ...   8)

Looks just like mine! I've got the LR cylinder which I did not have for the Wasp. All set with 600 rounds of LR and 100 rounds of Hornady 22mag. Really like the idea of cheap practice ammo. Also I dropped the holster in the mail today to NAA to exchange it for a LH one, e-mail confirmation to do that about a week ago. It will be interesting to see if the holes in the barrel really can make a difference.

Stay safe, John

Porting, that's the word. Well, at least the transition to Alzheimers will be easy ;).
