Hey all, being fairly new to this Forum with a very low "post" count, (fell in Love with NAA late in the game), and some of you guys having thousands of posts, I wonder if I will be slated to receive one of the last EBs?

I feel so lucky to have been picked in the EB program and find it appropriate to be in the last group to receive their EBs. Just wondering if those of you that have been on the Forum longer were given an earlier delivery than someone coming to the show late like me? It would not seem correct for me to receive a Ranger ahead of a long time "member".

Any ideas???? Wish we could see the shipped EB numbers somewhere!

I have my CV grip (small chisel set sharpened for custom fitting), CCI Rat shot, and cross draw holster ready... this will be my snake gun during spring Turkey season here in Tennessee.
Not sure why, but Dad always said "Shoot Straight" before every hunt

It appears to be random, not based on post count.

You obviously have chosen a Ranger II with conversion cylinder, as there have been those with post counts close to your that have already received their non-conversion Ranger II.  And I agree, it appears random, but would tend to think that they are being shipped by the order in which they received the orders.

Perhaps some insight, but no solid info. I was lucky enough to get EB0001, but there are at least 2 other members who have higher post counts.

I would suggest you hold off n your chisels and go with a Dremel and sanding disk. Once you get yours in hand, you will be in a position to make a much more informed decision. Let us know how you choose to fit the grips, and how they turn out.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Will do... I build longrifles and blacking the proud areas are then removing slowly with chisels and files will be my best and safest option!!! No modern tools should make a Slow and steady perfect fit... IF that thing ever comes, I'll post a post grip fit picture...

Yes Ruger, my order was for the conversion cylinder...

there is no pattern of order as to who gets the Rangers first that i can discern anyway.

They had good intentions and I hold nothing against them. But their idea of prioritizing on post count clearly had no basis in reality. No big deal. As long as we get one. Based on Jessica's last new thread, they even lost the actual list of who even ordered the EB guns when a key employee quit or was fired. Again, no big deal. Seriously. I run a business, and I know stuff happens. I deal with crap like that every single day. You do your best and treat your customers as well and as fairly as you can. If you do that they will usually respond in kind.

Again, I'm not criticizing in any way. Just making observations... from my big, overstuffed, comfy, hind-sight-equipped easy chair...  ;)
