Yes! What's the alternative? NOT owning a Ranger. Need I say more? :D

There will be problems with any new item.  No matter how extensive the testing there is a strong possibility that a flaw was missed.  Look at the recent recalls of computer chips, computer programs, automobile air bags, raw ground beef, even automobile engines (metal fillings in the engine itself) to name but a few.   It is actually a positive thing that the beta testers on the Ranger II are those on this forum.  We are not throwing a fit in a retail gun store.  We also have the faith that the problems all have solutions.  It is only time and ingenuity that will be required to correct any and all flaws.   Of course I can say this because I have not received my Ranger II yet....

P.S. My order for the new Ranger II stands as written.

I guess in a way I'm happy. I feel so sorry for Big Bird and others that had problems and had to return the guns. I know what that's like. I bought one of the very first Kel-Tec P-32's when they came out. The chamber was oversized and I had to send my brand-new, unique (it was the lightest and smallest viable carry gun at the time) baby back and had to wait weeks.

So, I'm glad they're getting the kinks worked out before I get mine (hopefully).

I still want one but I am happy I'm at the end of early bird in hope that it will be great when it gets here

Thanks to NAA's crew for being great. Just needed that pump up from other NAA lovers lol

Be happy. People are getting lower numbers than I and consecutive  if they bought two. I do like the Pistols  though.

I'm not sure anyone here, needs a Ranger, but most want one, that's the difference.

Yes there will, and have been some issues, with these early models, but as an engineer myself I can see how such issues have occurred and also how they can be cured, as well as how they could occur in early production models. There is therefore no need for panic at this stage, or for anyone to think they are taking a risk having placed an order. I'm sure many will not have the problems I've encountered, while any that do can be easily fixed by NAA. On mine I believe the tolerance fit between two components is the cause of 90% of the problems encountered today, this could be easily remedied.

... It is actually a positive thing that the beta testers on the Ranger II are those on this forum.  We are not throwing a fit in a retail gun store ...
I agree wholeheartedly, GT!  As forum members, we have the privilege of being "beta testers" for new NAA models.  But there is also an implied obligation ...  Along with the opportunity to receive "early bird" offerings, this "insider" role comes with the expectation (or at least the reasonable request) that we help to identify any bugs as soon as possible.  The nice thing is, we have been given a direct line inside NAA (Sandy, Jessica, etc.), and will never feel that we are just out here on our own dealing with problems alone--like the average "retail gun store" buyer.  It just serves as more proof of how valuable this forum is to all of us--forum members, average customers, and NAA alike.  So, let's keep those range reports coming!   ;D
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

I think you guys are being too kind, your customers more than beta testers and remember 1/2 of production is going to retail.  I'm personally happy I didn't climb aboard the early train.  Sorry.

Love mine.  Sorry.

I loved mine also even with a problem. I'm sorta confused to .You say you read about all the problems. I must be missing some posts . As far as I know I'm the only one to send one back, and I think the problem was an easy fix.Has anyone else returned a Ranger for repair? ???

MtGoat

I had the privilege of shooting one of the early BT models.
Yes, there were a few hick-ups but all in all it was very fun to shoot and will carry well.
I have zero concerns that NAA will resolve any issues that arise.
If the friend that I found the gun for has concerns I will gladly buy him out of his Ranger II.
I already offered and there was mentioned made about cold dead hands  ;D

Now that I think about it I am paying for the privilege to shoot the Ranger as I have been supplying the ammo.
Maybe I shouldn't mention that as I only had 20 rounds with me  ::)

In a month or two when the niggley little issues have been worked out all will really like the Ranger II I predict.

Now just to get MY two EB models  :P

MtGoat, 38sp, and Redhawk have had issues, too ... to name a few ...

Well apparently 38SP did based on his comment in another thread and mine is going to have to go back also. I recall someone else having some issues too, but unfortunately we have so many Ranger threads it's quite the task to find something when you recall reading it, but can't remember which thread.

Edit: Ranger Jim beat me to it, MtGoat was one of the others now I see his name above.

The trouble is shipping time to AZ is on or before August 2019, or I would :), given I can get to NAA in 20 minutes that's plan A. :)

If you look at my range report you can see I've got a couple of hiccups.

I was shooting a friends BT model I found from a fellow board member (the same place Rick got his).
My EB models are still pending.
My friend has a good deal...he provides the gun and I provide the ammo. :o
Well worth the ammo to get a chance to try out the new Ranger II.
Besides that I am getting his gun dirty not mine ;D

I REALLY like the BT and can see a 2" or 2.5" model in my future.
I hope the longer barrel pocket carries well as I can easily see this as a daily woods gun if it shoots straight and true.

Pat

Bigbird48

But what were the problems on your friends BT??

Qind

I know it's coming from Utah ....and it's going to be another NAA , ..I'm good!
I love these little 22's , nothing comes close.
