Following up on Warty's pocket watch theme, below is picture of my set up. May change out watch and chain, but its what I have now. You could easily use as a key ring or attached knife or endless options I guess. I sent my 22 short to NAA to get the lanyard ring attached. I handled the gun for about 30 minutes before I found the spot I wanted to have them attach lanyard ring. This location works for me as I can grip and fire without it pressing against my hand. I put a piece of tape on the gun and put a dot on it for were I wanted the lanyard ring. They seem to be willing to attach it were ever you desire. Maybe even a back sight as Mr 22 suggested. Fits great in my jeans, put gun in pocket and watch in the littler pocket, it is nice to be able to pull the gun out with the chain and not have to reach all the way into your pocket. Looking forward to Warty's photo when he gets a holster for his setup. I also need to look for some bib overalls. It also looks good with a vest.
Pricing was:
Ship to NAA: $17.00
NAA add ring: $12.00
Return Shipping to me:$25.00
Total: $54.00  (Took about two weeks to return)

I like it

I just may have to do that with my short

That's beautiful, Don!  I had no idea that you could specify exactly where you want the lanyard ring to be placed--great to know!  I may need to consider buying another short, just to try it!  Thanks to Warty and to you for reminding us that the Shorty can be relevant, functional, and even a practical tertiary back-up choice for every day carry!   8)

Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

Hey Jim if you are going to buy a short to put a lanyard ring on I would suggest you have your lgs order it direct for you and have it done before it's shipped to save you some money. At that point you may wish to get it with a custom serial number at the same time. Just sayin'.

Looks good. I made mine and put it right on the bottom where it don't  interfere  with my hand when I shoot it. Sort of like where they have been through history. I have less than 5 bucks in mine with the cost of a tap. Now the next one will less than a buck. Needed a couple of drill bits, but had them.I put one on my short so when I carry it in my watch pocket I can chain it to a belt loop, and not worry about loosing it. Looks like it is a watch.
Thinking about one on my Earl.

Yours cost just about what mine cost doing it through a local smith.  It looks good too, I like the watch and the way the whole works with mine too.  I will post pix when the holster is done so that will wait.  Rick has been ill so I am not hurrying him.

Awesome Boone, If I were to have a short, I'd do it myself also. Pretty simple mod, all you need is a drill a bit and a small tap and your golden :D

Warthog

That is all it takes too, I don't have these things anymore though.  It would be easy to do though and I am very happy with mine. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, David ...  I may have to do just that!   :)

Although I would probably never have a use for this set up I can appreciate the design of it. Very nice Don.
