Dear Sandy, Jessica, and the rest of the crew at NAA, I just want to say "Thank you!"

I know that recently you have been taking a lot of flack over the Ranger 2. First of all, everyone was in a big hurry to get one, and a lot of pressure was placed on you to hurry up and get it our the door. Now there are a lot of concerns about stuck cases and light hammer strikes. It must be rather frustrating.

Part of the problem is that you have set a standard that is incredibly high. I have three NAA firearms. Two I bought new, the third was 10 years old. They all run perfectly. The ten year old one looks just as good as the two I bought new. You make an incredible product, exquistly made. One that will last for generations.

Secondly, from what I have heard, you have incredible customer service. Everyone says that if there is a problem, you take care of it. Period. I wouldn't know myself, because I have never had to use it!

I don't know what more anyone could possibly want or ask out of a business.

I understand why the Ranger is having some teething problems. The tolerances on NAA firearms are extremely tight, and break top firearms present some engineering problems that are difficult to overcome. Back in the day they required a lot of hand fitting. Frankly, I was surprised that a company as small as NAA would take on such a challenge.

But you achieved your goal. As far as I can tell, NAA is the only company in the USA that has designed and manufactured a break open pistol in a generation. And it works! Of course there are some teething problems. The sticky chambers need a bit more polishing (of course most small auto pistols have sticky chamber issues until a hundred or more rounds are fired out of them), and maybe the springs made a bit stronger. But really, those are minor issues.

Will I buy a Ranger. Probably not. Like the Sidewinder, I find it too complicated. I really like the simplicity of your traditional Mini Revolver models. As soon as I can save up a few bucks, I plan on buying a 1.62 Mini Mag with both cylinders to go with my 22lr, Black Widow, and Guardian. But that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the engineering that went into the newer models. I also appreciate the fact that you keep on designing and manufacturing new models. It gives me something to dream about!

I am sorry about the length of this post, but I just wanted to say " Thank You, and keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Sea Otter

Yup . .  .Outstanding Company!  And I too Thank You for the Ranger II experience.  The wait was incredible, exciting, and a journey to talk about around the firearm fires for a long time.

But I would advise to keep at the front of the pack when it comes to new ideas or improvements.  A company that isn't innovating and recreating itself with new offerings every so often is left behind and forgotten.

Thanks Sandy & Team for taking the risk and making the investment.  I believe the new Ranger II will indeed provide a great return, not only in profits, but in personal satisfaction.

I guess I can chime in and say thanks as well. I don't have a large collection of mini's like some here, but only the two little .22lr's I bought in the mid 1980's. One was an initial purchase, and the second one was bought as a back up because I was so impressed with the first one. In the three plus decades I have owned them, the one has  been a steady pocket companion in places where there was no gun CCW, but the need for protection was high.

The main mini I carried went on many back packing trips, canoe trips, fishing trips, and many times in and around some not so nice places in Washington D.C. On three separate occasions both in the city and out in the boonies, the presence of the gun saved me from trouble. Now retired living in Texas, and able to carry any gun I want as I am licensed, I still find myself sticking with the mini. There is a 99.9% chance I am upgrading to a black widow in the near future.

Thank you all at NAA for making such a fine little gun that was there on a lonely mountain side when I was being stalked by a stranger, and in D.C. on a dark parking lot when being confronted by a less than respectable member of the human race.

My mini was always there when other guns could not be.

There is a 99.9%.liklihood that you will like the BW. It is bulky compared to a 22lr, but it's still tiny, and a whole lot easier to shoot!

cbl51 & otter,
Nothing at all wrong with a BW. I purchased one last year with the spare 22lr cylinder.

Like all my other Minis,it is superb and spot on with CCI Magnum ammo at 15 ft and with the 22lr ammo,is still right on target.

I have it in a pocket holster in my front left vest pocket on my heavy coat and I always have a PUG in an IWB holster with me at all times.

Although my area is primarily urban,we have a high rate of coyote encounters.

So,I find it best to be prepared.

When you do get your minis, let us know how they do and what ammo you use.

Yup, I will third Top Dog, even though I have a Ranger II, I still tend to carry my Black Widow the most because I know the gun well, have shot it a lot and I know it is a gun I can hit with... When the weather gets a little warmer here I am sure to switch to my Ranger II because so far, I haven't had any trouble with it.  I have fired a few brands, Aguila, Winchester and CCI and not had any misfires yet.  The cylinder on the Magnum could be smoothed out some but I think I cn handle that and it works fine with the gun being fired once then reloaded, which is what would likely happen when carrying it so IDK.
