Ordered a 22 Short Mini - now to figure out the best ammo

I spent decades shooting 22's, until I started casting and loading my own ammo... then mostly large caliber guns for the past several years .  Now I am glad to say that I've ordered (layaway) a NAA 22 short mini  :) and can't wait to get it into my hands and 'play' with it.

I was really impressed with the quality of the 22LR Mini that I handled at a recent gun show, and decided that I wanted the smallest of the smallest handguns they make.

I'd like to order some 22 short ammo but have heard that some tumbles, and wondered what ammo other short Mini owners have had the most success  with.

Thanks - Randy

First, WELCOME!

I have never tried this, but have read of others who will cut off the end of a LR round so that the bullet clears the short chamber. They in essence have a wad cutter with much less bullet weight and all the powder they started with.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

I use below ammo and it seems to work ok, have not shot a lot of it. The NAA 22 short gun is hard to hold on too, it would definitely be for up close use.

Well ... I ordered some CCI 22 Short CB and some Remington Golden 22 Shorts, and even some new grips for my S&W 686 .357 mag at the same time.  Hope those grips for the 357 don't scare those puny 22 shorts on the way to Florida :-)

Can't wait till I can report that I received and tried the mini.
