Trigger job

Apparently there is a significant difference in trigger pull from model to model.  My .22 magnum NAA that I've had for years has always had a great, smooth trigger, and if anything it could be said that the trigger pull is a bit too easy, but I still love it.  I took my brand new Sidewinder to the range for the first time today and was sorely disappointed in the trigger pull.  It was very difficult, light-years more difficult to pull than my older one.   Anyone else finding this?  Hoping that someone can help with this , I won't feel comfortable carrying it if it can't be improved.

Best of luck with your surgery Tuesday!

If and when I can get to a range I will. It will be while before THAT happens. Surgery on my foot is scheduled for Tuesday.

I would think if you used enough compound to make the sear notch smooth , by the time you got that done that  the rest of the moving parts would be a sloppy fit. Just my thoughts.
I have done improved trigger pulls on guns with fine stones, and caution. Its worked every time.

It was all done, cleaned and oiled in less than a half hour. Grow up folks I am not some sort of fool, even if Bill D thinks so...

Thank you. The hard part will be getting back to the second floor of my house on one foot with bad shoulders, metal knees, and without any weight on my right foot...

Good luck, Al.

If it was warmer you could camp next to the driveway for a few days. Well - maybe not. I just hope you can manage with all the difficulties you have to face. Keep your chin up!

Load it up with blanks from Lowes/Home Depot in the mean time and fire it while sitting in the Living Room of your home. 8)

Back from surgery. They tell me it went well. I am in a cast until I go back to the doctor and pretty much limited to the second floor for the duration...

After 18 weeks in a boot, what's another 6 weeks? That is to get out of the boot, then rehab...
