So after shooting...
Cci maxi mag 22 wmr hp. 40 grain 1875 fps.

My cylinder pin would come loose. Forward an 1/8".

Before I noticed the pin... My first shot I noticed first the cylinder wasn't rotating with the cock of the hammer...so I assisted it's rotation with my left hand while working the hammer. After a few shots like this I noticed the pin. Put it in place and fired again. Noticed the pin...put it back and fired it...again with the pin. I put away the mags and used a 22lr. No problems with the pin.

I'm pretty bummed about this. It seems like the cylinder pin needs a stronger spring to hold the lock ball in place.

I know black widow is different and have a twist to the side locking pin. I'm wondering what kind of experience people have had with their 22 mag and any solutions that can be offered. I don't think sending it back will help because of the pins design but I'm open to it.

On a side note. Shot at about 10 yard. Can't say I hit much. No complaints there. Looking at a mini master for accuracy. That model shouldn't have the pin issue ether.

Good luck... I agree with your assumption. I personally think it's a great concept but not for the 22Mag in the long run. Like Ruger did with the Shopkeeper, the Mag cylinder option quickly vanished... I think NAA will follow suit soon. I sold my Ranger ll... Just too many returns, many for the 2nd and 3rd time.... nice to look at, but not for actual use. For some just holding, cleaning and having is enough for them. I have some guns I will NEVER fire and LOVE them... I just had to be realistic with myself and come to my own conclusion that I want function over love for the gun.

We all have different likes and desires, and patience... Thank God we do!!! Enjoy the journey and keep us informed!
Not sure why, but Dad always said "Shoot Straight" before every hunt

Rigemortis  - The problem with the cylinder pin on the magnum Mini has come up several times on this forum. Sometimes it is the pin and sometimes it is the dimple in the barrel that the pin fits into, if I recall correctly. I suggest that you call NAA and explain your problem and ask them to send you a new pin. The pin is $25 to buy, but if your Mini is brand new they might send you one free of charge - won't hurt to ask. I would definitely try a new pin before giving up or sending it back to the factory.

The Pugs and Black Widows and Earls do have a more secure locking pin.

I would agree that the problem is most likely a  faulty pin. It's a fairly rare occurrence, but it does happen, and yes, there have been a number of reports on it. Which makes me reluctant to bring up another possibility, which I am mentioning only because it happened to  a friend of mine. I had recommended the NAA revolvers to him, and he got a mini mag combo. After he took it to the range for the first time he called me up to say his cylinder pin wasn't holding. I had him bring it over, and I watched as he put the pin in place. I then checked it, and found that the pin was not fully engaged. I toggled the cylinder a bit, and the pin locked in place. Then I had him try. After five or six tries, he was able to lock the pin in position reliably, and the pin hasn't fallen out since. Please note: I am not saying that this a likely scenario in your case! I suspect that you indeed have a faulty pin. But it has happened, and I therefore thought I ought to mention it. I have had my LR mini for several years now, and she works nice and smoothly now, but I can remember having trouble getting the cylinder pin  properly locked in for  a while, as well.

My Magnum shoots fine and the pin has never backed out on me. I shoot it quite a bit and carry it quite a bit. It's an older one.
