Have a new 32, and the only local ammo is Aguila and Remington, 71 gr FMJ (Sportsman's Warehouse). Anyone else have experience with these in a 32? I haven't shot it yet.

I'm happy with the FMJ. It avoids rim lock, and gives better penetration. Expansion would be little if any with .32 HP.

Federal has always been my go-to ammo with all my guns, but I'll stick with what's local if it performs reasonably.

EDIT: I have now been to the range (new thread on that) and both brands did okay. I didn't see a noticeable difference between them.

the ammo should be fine... i ran Fiocchi redbox and S&B FMJ with no problems (aside from those inherent in the Guardian)... Aguila and Remington are not 'hot loads' like the Euro ammo...

Aguila FMJ 71 grains - 905 fps/129 ft lbs
Fiocchi FMJ 73 grains - 1000 fps/160 ft lbs <-- HOT!
S&B FMJ 73 grains - 1043 fps/177 ft lbs <-- HOTTER!
Remington FMJ 71 grains - 905 fps/129 ft lbs

(and keep in mind that these are arbitrary numbers - the Guardian's  barrel is so short that the numbers, from what i've researched, are most likely definitely different)

glad to see you're enjoying your Guardian!

Mine shoots great with my reloads.  ::) Why depend on local venders' ammo supply when it comes to shooting your irons?
