Curious about NAA's serial number system, as to determining date, and number of guns manufactured? Are all NAA guns on same system, or different for each model?

My new 32 is serial AF06***, and test fired April 14.

I'll be glad when this Captcha stuff is over..... :(

I'm pretty sure they are all different. Call NAA and they will tell you your gun's birthday. I don't know what difference it makes, but I do like to know.

I'll consider the test fire date its "birthday". They have a reputation for selling as fast as they're made, so I doubt it sat around long. I just find it useful to know the serial system to date used ones, and I wonder how many have been made. The 32 has been in production 21 years, the .380 for 16. That may, or may not be, a lot of guns.
