Does anyone know of a good leather pocket (or otherwise)  holster for a Pug or Black Widow  that incorporates the standard extra rounds pocket along with a pouch for your EDC knife (Boker switchblade)? I think it would be handy to incorporate everything into one convenient, easy to grab package. Rick, are you listening?

Or maybe add this to a holster: 2" blade, 5" O.A.

Not me...pockets would be too small. I don't carry anything but the gun, in a holster, in that pocket...Picture is old, I should update...

I would guess any outfit that makes gun holsters could fashion one on order.  However, do you really want all your potential weapons available to only one hand?   I always wear some form of jeans, funerals, weddings, eating out, and so on.  I count my Benchmade frame lock (3 3/4" blade)  along with my B/W both as weapons and carry the Widow in a right front pocket and my Benchmade (using the clip)  in my left front pocket along with car keys.  My spare ammo in my watch pocket, (not I would expect time to reload) cash in a money clip, left rear and ID/wallet right rear.  However, Desert should be able to fix you up to what you want.

I am sure Rick would make you a holster that holds your knife as well as some extra ammo.  I don't have such a holster though as I tend to keep my knives other places than my guns. :)

I'm sure it is possible. Rick has made several knife cases for me to go along with some of my other guns and carry belt.  I like the horizontal ones for single mags and a knife.  They do not seem to hang up on things like seat belts as bad.

It always seems like a good idea to have "everything" of our EDC items in one package.  When you wrap them up together, put a rubber band around them and try to put this neat "package" in your pocket.... it might not fit  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ?

But... I do like each item in its own little "container".   It could be leather, plastic, Kydex, Cordura.  Like others have stated, I like to have my EDC spread around different pockets.

I carry 2 sets of keys... When I reach in my pocket 50% of the time I should grab the correct set, but NOOOOO...  :o. 100% of the time I grab the wrong set!  Thats why when I go to Vegas I don't gamble!  I get married instead!  ;) ....  Its a tradition!   :o (I need to stop going to Vegas)

Here is a great idea I have been kicking around for myself....  An EDC Tray...  I unload my pockets on the counter or bookcase or nightstand and it looks like cr@p.  Stuff moves around and when I need to leave it's always a hunt for 1 item that I can't leave the house without! (NAA, money, knife, License, ID, Wrist watch, I don't even wear a watch, Adderall, Viagra, Coffee, Keys, Coffee, Coffee, Coffee, Shoes, Clothing, etc...)  ;D

So looking around Pinterest (yep, a guy on Pinterest, you should check it out! NAA stuff, wood working, metal fab. Its all there!) there are some neat EDC trays made from all different materials.  I tend to focus on the Leather Ones!  ::)

So... When I make one I'll post it (no specific time set!) but I have been thinking about it for a while  ;)

I know this doesn't answer your request for a EDC gear all wrapped into 1 easy to carry package but.... maybe something to consider.  :)

I do like the concept of a single holster.  Years ago I had one for belt wear that carried my Leatherman or Gerber tool, a AA Maglite and a large Buck folder.  Yep to much for the pocket but I was out working in the field a lot and it sure was handy to have items ready for use.

The challenge for the maker would be each one would be different.  Just in the knife slot there would be lots of different sizes and shapes.

I now like to carry one of the AAA LED pin lights so a slot for it, a knife and the NAA would be great.

Since each of us has a favorite combo in our pocket each holster would have to be custom made to fit the "toys".

So a pocket one may be to large unless it was a Cargo style pocket...

I just use these:

More pockets than I need and I even keep a spare mag for my Sig P365 in one of the outer left pockets.   The big cargo pockets on either side are tuckable and even has velcro on the inside of the pocket too so it'll keep the flap in place.  I keep the one of the left tucked and often carry my Contigo coffee mug in there:

Gotta have my coffee!

A good belt (made locally by the Amish), Duluth "Fire Hose" cargo pants, and a couple of Rick's holsters are the basis of my every day carry.

Bill,
How would you like to assist with a survey being conducted at this time?
How wide is the side cargo pocket.  Most have been right a 6".

I'm just trying to get the average width on several brands so I can have my favorite holster guy come up with a cargo pocket style...

Here in the Desert we can wear shorts 11 months a year...

This month I wish I could shed the shorts too...But I will not do that.

Low temp last Friday night was 96 degrees.

The shorts cargo pocket width is 8 inches on the outside but 7.25 between the inside seams.  Height is the 8 outside and 7.5 to the inside seam at the bottom.  The bottom also has angled stitches that start 6.75 down the sides and gives you a flat surface at the bottom of the pocket 5.25 inches wide. Photo below.

On a lark I checked the full length pants and got different measurements.  This could be because they are newer and haven't been washed as much.  I'm more inclined to think they made the pockets smaller because of the length limits of the shorts.

The full length are just shy of 9 inches tall with stitching 8.5 from the top of the pocket.  8.5 inches wide with 7.75 inches between the inside seams.  Side stitches go down 7.5 inches before the angle stitching.  Flat at the bottom of the pocket measured 5.5 inches.

Bill,
Thanks for the info.  My goal is to get a Cargo pocket holster that will stay upright and not fall over in the cargo's wider  spacing.

Rick is thinking of centering the pistol for better balance and then have the ammo pouch on the sides.  Fun project.

I'm headed to Arkansas for a week and have not had a chance to stop by Desert Leather.

Of course I may not go by until he sells all of those special edition Black Widow holsters... I am weak and he knows it!

Just as a guess, I'm betting that a cargo pocket will pose a problem as the entire holster will want to come out if there is any drag between the holster and pistol.  With other front pockets the current pocket holster design "hooks" at the ammo pouch end when drawing the pistol.

Good point Bill.   I'm thinking of still putting the "Push off" in front of the hammer.  Once the pistol is started out of the holster there is usually no drag.

You can always "Bag" your gun pushed in the holster for an hour or two to get the retention looser if needed.

The additional weight of 10 or 20 extra speed strip rounds in front of the gun and the additional width (+ maybe a pocket knife behind the gun) there should be no draw issues.  Its all part of the R & D going on right now.  We'll get a few out in the wild and collect feedback for improvements.

Thanks for the photos and measurements of your pockets!

I'd be down for such a Knife/Mini holster....LMK when this gets worked out...or let me help working it out. :)
