Here she is; 106 year old shotty. Modified with barrel cut to 20"; + 2 mag extension tube ---------> 6 + 1 capacity and new stocks placed, fitted and stained all around. Only thing still needed is the butt pad being placed.

Rogue,
That is really really nice.
Are you going to put a support clamp near the end of the magazine tube to attach to the bbl??

Some folks think that it is needed, but if my memory serves me correctly,on the Model 11,the bbl slides back about 1/2 inch during the firing cycle.

Then the support cannot be used.

Rogue, nice work!  I wish I could do such work.  Looks great and let us know how she fires!

No clamp Top Dog; the barrel does indeed recoil back into the receiver so clamping it to the mag tube would bind her up.

Thank you for the compliments on her. My plan is to take her and a 1911 to a shotgun class and see how the two hundred plus year old designs compete with the new Tupperware models.  8)  ::)

Beautiful work on an awesome gun!

In the class your taking,  do you use a "Sling"?  I made some for some Phoenix Firemen that took a shotgun class here. I have heard some classes don't use them. I guess it depends on the scenario for the class.

They needed them longer and a little wider than what is normally available.  I found the wide hardware and made them with good leather. (The ones that were "top of the line" were made from really bad leather)

They were really happy with them and the instructor sends people to me for them now.

Do let us know how you do against the "Tactical Tupperware" jockeys! lol!!

I'm going to use your "Tupperware" phrase for sure!  On the next guy that walks into my leather shop and ask's for a Kydex Holster! lol!!

Nice job there Rogue.  It reminds me of the guns used by prison guards in old movies.  A true classic.

I still have to mount a butt pad and I want to use a sling but have to figure how and where to mount the front swivel. The barrel on this one recoils into the receiver upon firing and hence I cannot clamp the mag tube to the barrel for a sling mount. I am not sure the mag tube would be sturdy enough to support a sling on its own.

I will figure it out one way or the other.
