Wandered by the LGS a week ago and they had a 1 5/8's Magnum Mini in the case.
Tag said used, pin backs out "Sold as is".

Well today I was talking with one of the Best NAA Enablers, Rick from Desert Gun Leather.

Seems that he has found out why the call the online sales "GUN BROKER": cause once you get stared you are much more broke!

He was telling me about all his new NAA's and I mentioned that I had seen one at the LGS and that it was "as is".

Yep the enabler convince me to swing by and take another look at it.

Well, they still had it on the lower shelf in the gun case kind of hard to see it.

Upon inspection I found that it was an early model made at Spanish Fork, Utah.

I had another one just like it before, also made in Spanish Fork, and it now rides on the son in laws hip every day.
Good Karma must have been with me for sharing the NAA love and making another Every Day Carry Mini.

The gun is in excellent shape.  The pin feels solid and does not slide out.  It has the safety notch cylinder on it but the hammer does not lock into the smaller notches.

Looks like this one is headed for a Summer Camp trip to Provo, Utah.  I'll have them check the pin, the safety notches and also fit a smooth 22 LR cylinder to it.

OK Rick gets 1,000 enabler points for his work today!

Oh pictures...I know if I do not show them it did not happen.

I still do not understand why photos I take turn different directions on this site but here are the new one along with the one I gave my Son in Law.

Also the mandatory Uncle Lee Guns 'N Leather photo of my Son in laws side arm of choice.

He has other guns, and I have given him DGL holsters for a few of them but the Mini is now his go to.
They have lots of Copperheads in their neck of the AR woods so CCI 22 Mag Snake shot is in the first two holes.
Guess someday he will have a matching set of Spanish fork Mini's.   We all know the quickest reload is a second Mini!

Yep a set of Laminated CVANGS on his and a fine DGL holster.
He takes great care of my daughter and Grand Kids so I don't mind spoiling him a little with nice toys.

If you notice his Silicone wedding band he is a Master Electrician so no metal on the hands for good reason!

The problem with the cylinder pin backing out was I thought mostly restricted to the Black Widow. I sent mine in & they installed the new take down pin & now no problems. I'm not quite sure how they would correct the 1 1/8th or 1 5/8th inch ones as the design is different. Maybe just a replacement cylinder pin might do the job. The real solution would be to copy the cylinder pin on the Freedom Arms mini or maybe just make one that screws in.

Yeah, when I was a small appliance service Manager, I used to wear my wedding ring on a chain around my neck...Nice little gun!
MY LGS has two NAAs right now in the used guns, a BW and a .380 Guardian...

Canoeal I have the guardian and love it. I have a few minis as well. I never see any guardians, new or used. Do they hold their value at resale?

I've never seen any Guardians except the 32 I bought through Gallery Of Guns. Even they rarely have the 32 in stock, and they're often out of the 380. I think that being kind of hard to find makes them hold value pretty well. I paid $336 for mine (list is $409), and I hear they go used for around $275.

Seecamps used to go new for as much as 3X the list price, and it wasn't unusual to wait months for one. At least the Guardians aren't that scarce, and a better gun to boot.

Come to think, I've never seen a used Mini, but several new ones. Mostly the base LR and WMR ones. And one Wasp, a couple of BWs, and I think my last trip to Sportsman's Warehouse I saw an Earl. No Pugs or Sidewinders.

I see just a few used minis and several new. Seems shops around here keep at least one mini on hand. Canoeal that price ($259)  is for a used 380 guardian?
