If you are certain there is no rifling , it needs to go back for sure.

Welcome Deezil!  I watched your video.  Nice.  I know it's sometimes hard to see; but pretty sure your little gem is rifled.  I have never come across one that wasn't.  Try putting a tight patch on a cleaning rod and running it down the barrel.  Look for the rod to twist.  Capture a spent bullet and examine it.  Maybe shoot it into a water tank?  If you are positive it is not rifled, call NAA Customer Svc.  Guarantee they will help you.  Please let us all know what you find.

Oh ok, thanks for the info.

Thanks everyone! Its just so fun!

It sure would be nice to not have to do this verification each post, thats a pita.

Well Deezil,

Welcome to the forum.

I think you will find that the most common suggestion for a first NAA will be the Black Widow followed by the Pug for it's compactness.  In either case, getting the combo with both the 22LR and 22 Mag cylinders is highly recommended.  Most carry the 22 Mag and use the 22 LR for inexpensive practice.
Agree almost 100%, except I got the combo first and am glad I did. If, like you say, money is tight, the combo is less expensive. I did later purchase the Pug and Black Widow. All are excellent guns. Good luck and enjoy.

Deezil

The problem I see with these things, is one isnt enough, now that I have one its lonely, and I want another.. haha

billmeek

Texron,

I think you might have misunderstood what I was recommending.  I suggested getting either the Black Widow combo or the Pug combo as a first purchase.

It was a long, hard road, but I made it! :D

I did not misunderstand. I almost always agree with your post. I probably should not have said almost 100%. I think any of these guns are a good first purchase, but if money is tight I thought the combo would be a better choice. As, always, I look forward to reading your posts and hearing your opinions.

Yes, the extra cylinder came in the little blue thing.  The case is cool, I have that and older boxes and stuff but the metal case is nice.

I tend to get wood boot grips but dry fire isn't good, you can damage the firing pin on the hammer so don't do that too much.

They are nice little revolvers and frankly I want to scratch mine right away so I no longer feel the need to worry about keeping it clean.  You can polish you scratches off if it bothers you.

Nice Video Deezil!

Get with Rick Jorgenson for a leather holster, at least I would.

Good deal Deezil, out of probation.  How do you like those rubber grips?  That's probably the only NAA grips I haven't tried.  Grippy, yet small...

This is the only NAA Ive ever touched, so I cant compare it to anything else, but I really like them. Comfy, and easy to hang onto

Honky Tonk Man

I really like the ones that look like those, but stretch over the grip frame.  They are standard on the Pug and the Bug Out.  I believe your's and those are made for NAA by Hogue.  The stretch-over models are a little bigger than yours, but still easy to conceal.  They're all easier to hang unto than the small wood grips.  Thanks for the input.

HTM I had a set of those grips on my wasp and I could never seem to get them tight enough. So if you want my opinion I'd go with a different set of grips. The slip on type will give you the same feel but stay in place much better.

Warthog

I used a piece of paper to shim my grips.  Made them fit like a glove, no wobble.

Good to know Joe.  I'm happy with the stock Pug grips.  Perfect size for the Pug too IMO.

Thanks guys.  Mine dont wobble and are tight, so far Im happy.

My mini came with the rosewood grips. After a couple of years I replaced them with the slip on rubber grips which I like much better.

Hello there.
New mini revolver owner here.
I picked up a Pug and a Ranger II.
I am impressed with the concealability and the build quality of these little revolvers.
I am really new to the North American Arms Minis having always said I would never get one.
I am a law enforcement officer, a firearms instructor, a US Army Combat Veteran, and have been training with firearms for almost 30 years.
I am here for the knowledge specific to these little pistols but I find that replying to threads and posting photos are too cumbersome so I am not likely to post much on this site.

Desertvet; get through the first 15 post probation and it becomes super easy. Virtually no rules and great conversation and photos. One of the best forums online; after the first 15 posts. Give it chance, you will not regret it. Welcome by the way.

Hey, just eight more posts and you'll be past that cumbersome probationary process.  No more captchas to have to squint at or delay to your posts showing up.  And the posts don't have to be meaningful, nobody will care.  We've all been through the process.

Just go to the test area and say "Hi, just testing" eight times and you'll be home free and won't mess up any threads.

And welcome aboard.

OH Come on now,
8 more posts and then it is easy.
