Only problem is ..... it only comes with a 10 rnd mag.    There's supposed to be a 15 rnd available for it ... but I can't seem to find any.

I have one and I have a few of the larger magazines.

Got any pictures of it Warty ?
Does yours have wood or plastic ?
The one I pawed over last week looked like plastic ... but the website specs say it's some kinda Philippine wood.   Maybe it's one of them plastic trees?

I don't usually buy firearms if parts availability is an issue.

I won't carry a laser device... unless it has stun, kill, and disintegrate settings.

glenn

I'm not even considering this as a firearm Bill .... just more or less a toy version of my Egyptian Maadi.
Armscor does have a lifetime warranty tho.   It's a <$ 200 gun ... & that's what I'm expecting.

I have a "toy" version of an AR / M-16 ... sold with "Colt" name on it ... made by Umerex / Walther ... that I paid > $ 400 for.  Dam thing is pot metal ... but surprisingly it shoots wicked accurate.

Understood.  But it still irks me when I can't fix my toys when they break or (more likely) I lose a part.

Mine is wood, it is snowing right now, and I don't have a picture of it atm.

It shoots well though, it has been to the range a bunch and I have to say I love to shoot it more than for instance, my 10/22's. (I have four 10/22's)

RICKS PLACE

To each his (or her) own.  Guess I am too serious minded but have never understood the hankering for a GI Joe looking,  cheap made, make believe .22.  A Ruger 10/22 will get any job done a .22 can do and you can get parts for them including hi cap mags.  I had a 10/22 that looked like my old army issued M1 30  Carbine, till one of my grand daughters turned 18 and talked me out of it.

Canoeal

I wish they still made a 10/22 in 22 mag...wood stocks of course.

Me too. :'(

All I have is an old Remington semi-auto, in 22 Mag...seems now all they make is a 22LR...Oh well, I also have more than a few magazines for it and mine is older too, and so is this picture, I was able to find a wood stock on Ebay that is now on the rifle. 8)

At one point in time, Fred Feddersen was talking about building 10/22 Mag rifles.  He already makes barrels for them and came out with his own 10/22 22LR receivers awhile back.  I don't know if they are still in development or not.

I also wish Ruger had continued with the 10/22 in the Mag.  There is some other maker of it now, can't remember the name, but pricy.  For my use, my Henry lever in .22 mag will just have to do.  I pair it with my Ruger single 9 cut down to a 4 1/2" barrel along with one of my NAA 22 mags.  That's enough fire power for an old man.

RIA seems to have a good rep for their basic 1911s and rifles, but their revolvers aren't at the same level. Reviewed with tool marks, poor finish (Parkerize, blue, or nickel), poor timing, heavy trigger, etc. Street price on one is around $200, so I guess you get what you pay.

Only made in .38, or I could maybe do one in .22. I wouldn't trust my bacon on carrying one.

Magnum Research and CZ (512, I think)...Don't have any experience with either...

Although it is a 22 mag semi-auto rifle, I'm pretty sure the CZ is not a 10/22 magnum clone.

No, IDK I was thinking it was another 22 mag semi-auto. I don't know anything about them. There is also a Savage...but for some reason never been a fan of them...

I am a fan of Savage rifles.  They are very accurate given the price. I like the limited edition (22LR) Savage A22 FV FDX XP so much that I bought a spare and haven't even gotten it out of the box.  One caveat... I'm not a fan of the Butler Creek 25-round mag that comes with it.  I prefer the (also included) 10 round factory mag.

Honky Tonk Man

I was surprised to learn the Savage MK II was made in Ontario, Canada.  It's hard to keep up with all the gun companies.  Seems like they change owners, like we change socks.

Savage has been making most of their rimfire rifles in the Lakefield plant for years.  According to company officials, the Canadian division of Savage Arms exports 97 percent of its rifles, mostly to the U.S, as of 1997.

Warthog

Savage, I like their bolt action rifles a lot.  Have a few of them, the adjustable trigger is something I found myself LOVING once it was right where I wanted it.

Which, for me, is all the way at the lightest setting and then a fraction of a turn up for reliability.  I've had a couple of issues setting the accutrigger at the very bottom.  A small increase in the setting didn't add any appreciable pull weight but works consistently.

I checked out the RIA AK-47 .22 at the SHOT Show last month. Of course, it's an "AK-47-like" rifle, but I don't mind--I still want one. My Colt/Umarex/Walther M4 isn't really an AR-15 (or M4), but it's one of my favorite .22LR rifles to shoot, especially suppressed. :)

I now have both of those Dar.  I haven't had the chance to play with the AK 22 yet .... been in the hospital for 5 days & still pretty much "down & out".
I am impressed with the Colt/Umarex .. for what it is.  It seems accurate as all beejeebers.
Looking forward to better weather & health & getting my butt out & playing with them.

Dang, dude, really? I missed that. You'd think I would have plenty of time during the days to hang out here, given my job situation, but I haven't been. Hope it's not too serious.  I'm coming up on my two-year anniversary of being in ICU for congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy, so I know that isn't much fun--although it's nice to be waited on 24-hours a day. It's probably not worth the trade-off, though, I hope yours was more voluntary,

I really do like my Colt M4. It's way fun to shoot. I was surprised how much I liked it. My brother got the Mossberg 715 and he hates it.

glenn

Mine's not the M4 .... it's the same gun but M16.   Funny thing ...... A few years ago, Cabelas had in the sale paper ... Colt M4 .. $$$$ yaddayadda ... so I sent the wifey after one.   She came home with the M16 ... I called Cabelas & ask WTF ?     they said sorry.. misprint.  So that's why I have the M16 instead.

I have COPD self induced .. 3 packs a day. (Dumb Humans)
3 weeks ago a got a severe case of type A influenza & that started me downhill.  Wife finally took me to Dr last Thursday & they checked my blood ox (87) & shipped me straight to the ER.
