Nice find

Can't go wrong with any Ruger product!

It is the Lipseys 2017 edition. 3 3/4 barrel , birds head grip.
It reminds me of the short sheriffs models ruger used to make. I have eyed this one 3 different  times, this time it followed me home. 8)

Fharing

I always felt the single six size ruger fit my hand well, but with 6 rounds of 22 or 22 mag it was always overkill. The single 7 is the same frame with 7 .327 mag holes. It ballances well. The only thing missing from this specimen is a lowered bisley style gunslinger hammer. :) ;)

Well, stuff like this never comes to a shop near me so if I am not the one asking and getting them to look for one for me...so 2017 is a year I will likely be unable to find one...and I know I might find one on some online auction/or even non auction site but for me at least.  I have found ridiculous mark ups like even after you shot the gun, put it in a sandy can and drove with it off road in the back of your truck in the rain and refuse to clean it before my buying it, you still think it is worth several hundred more now because they only made X of them....

Fharing, that is a really cool looking gun.  I have a couple other Single Sevens in a couple calibers, one being 327FM of course.  They are a whole lot of fun to shoot too so man, if you are willing, tell us how it shoots for you... :)

How about a new one for $550.99 text-a-check (or $567.52 credit card):

I won't carry a laser device... unless it has stun, kill, and disintegrate settings.

Hmmm, not bad Bill but this month....still paying medical bills. :'(

Like a lot of folks, it sucks getting old. Old injuries came back to haunt me. I just got back from medical leave from shoulder and muscle surgery,  and opened a table at a gun show. I sold off most my ipsic and idea reloading supplies (powder, bullets, and primers) and a few guns I no longer had interest in to pay medical bills. But Sunday no one was buying so I swapped a dealer out of this new single 7. I traded a used RAI 22TCM, and a few boxes of loaded shells straight across. I was trying to sell the TCM  anyways so I got something I always wanted and could not afford at the moment anyways.   So it was a good day. ;D

billmeek

Was that a Rock Island Armory 22 TCM/9 mm combo you traded?

Fharing

Yes it was. I had it a few years and grew tired of the double stack.
Just time for a change. And the 9mm barrel was unfired ::)

billmeek

Dang.  That is on the short list of pistols I want.  I've been waiting for a decent deal on a used one.

Love that "Shop keeper"  grip style just kinda flows in ones hand .

Fharing, when you're ready for it to be all that it can be, contact Joe Perkins at Classic Single Action Revolvers in Tucson.  Custom grips, and action work that has to be experienced to be believed.

Joe Perkins, Custom grips on my Cimarron 45 Colt clone. Palm swell on the left side, for off hand long range shooting. This piece is very accurate.

Boisesteve

hey Lefty,
Did Joe also lay hands on the action of your Cimarron?  If he did, then you know of what I speak.  He worked on my Ruger Blackhawk and it's awesome.

BTW, here's my .327-Magnum: a Taurus Model 327. I just about sold it last month. I pulled out my Taurus Model 25 in .41-Magnum and this 327 to sell to pay for my trip to Las Vegas for the SHOT Show.

I went to take photos and didn't have the heart to get rid of the 327. I listed and sold the .41-Magnum, but put the 327 back in the safe. It was sad, sure, like it always is when you lose something from your collection, but I don't miss it much, because I still have a Taurus .44-Special. I like the oddball calibers, so I'm sad to see the .41 go, but it was worth it to be able to go to the SHOW Show.

Anyway, my Taurus 327-Magnum:

Dang Darvell I saw your name and then the thread and I cringed thinking of just what I might see but holy moly a regular looking weapon that conforms to ones eye , Tauras but still a regular shape for something you own ,thanks from the bottom of my brain cavity . :):):)

That Cimmaron .45 be one nice looking pistol. Did it come engraved or did you have it done?

Haha, actually, most of my stuff is quite normal. Some my of pieces are "ugly" or strange or even exotic and rare, so they get the most screen time, but this well represents what I own and like. I'm quite jealous of the Ruger at the top of this thread, tho. It looks almost identical to my Ruger Vaquero in .45ACP with blackwood birdshead grip, except mine is bigger.
