Starting to see more and more Ranger II's at the gun shows and for bellow retail price. Are all the bugs worked out of the latest ones?

Mine is BTN03XXX.   I shot 2 boxes for the first time, last week. It ran with no problems.  Always went boom.   Shooting at small spinners at 21' so couldn't comment on accuracy except to say that I got some of them to spin.

RICKS PLACE

I can only speak for mine bought 2 weeks before Christmas.  I don't shoot all that much, it has fired 49 rounds plus one FTF.  The ammo was old,  That round had a good dent and I lay the on the rim, probably not the gun.  Smooth ejection, acceptable  accuracy for it's intended mission.  I consider the whatever bugs worked out of mine, now if only the makers of rimfire ammo could work all their bugs out.  For carry ammo, I prefer Hornady CD and next any U.S. made ammo.

Mine are still so stiff you can hardly pull the trigger.  Sent back, they are still the same. :-[

Saw 3 different ones at the gun show this past week end. They were all in the 26 hundred's serial number. A fourth one was a 22 LR / 22 mag., dual cylinder model. It was in the 36 hundred's serial number range. I was able to cock two of them. They were no harder to cock then my Sidewinder.

This was a 450 table show in Houston Texas. Price range: Single cylinder, $418.00 - $449.00. Dual cylinder was $559.00 Happy to hear that they seem to be working now.

BBgun, that is odd.  Mine, the two EBs I have aren't the best triggers I own but they aren't the hardest I ever pulled either.

I am not trying to insult you here, maybe get one of those little squeeze things that make your fingers and hand stronger??  When my neuropathy was first starting, I bought one, I still use it too.  It really helped me, my neuropathy only got worse though.  IDK, might help some but then who knows.  Again, I am not trying to say you are a weakling.

Warty, I am a little weak, but only in brain power!!! :)  Actually I do have neuropathy, but I shoot my other guns with no trouble.  My other Rangers I, I have no trouble with.  I am really disappointed with the Ranger IIs.  I wanted to carry them instead of the Rangers.  That neuropathy is a pain in the a$$.  :)

Warthog

It is bbgun, it made me not be a gunsmith.  I no longer could feel my way through the insides of the guns which made it impossible to do some things plus it hurt my fingers to work in there.  Take care!

I have peripheral neuropathy too.....feet, legs, arms and hands. no weakness in hands, just numbness and pain. maybe we can start a subforum.

Good idea Heyjoe.  My fingers sting a lot but taking Gabapentin helps.  My feet feel like I have socks on all the time.  I can't belive they don't have a cure for this.  Bummer.

Alpha lipoic acid, it is a non-pharmacy thing that I was told would make my fingers and toes stop aching without needing to take another drug.  It is supposedly naturally derived and it works a lot better than the other things I have been prescribed for the pain.

as with everything related to peripheral neuropathy, some things work for some people and not for others. alpha lipoic acid in high doses is used to treat peripheral neuropathy in Europe. it all just trial and error for the individual person, and it also depends on what the cause is, of which there are over 80.

Was just a suggestion, I hope you find something for yours because it isn't pleasant.

Glenn - just seeing that word assplode almost made my brain melt down. Back when I was young, in the last millennium, the English language was a proud thing ...

I've formulated a great product for all that ails SO MANY ,dang, it's called DR.KILDARE'S magic liquid potion . It's 100% cannabis oil - 100% gin -100% vodka - 100% bourbon - 100% scotch - 100% whiskey - 50% WD-40 for lubrication and a drop of B-12 and another drop of whatever that was in the medicine cabinet for the past year . One pint bottles are $20 bucks two for $50 . Comes with a set of earplugs for the noise from others . Get'em while they last  . :)

Have to look to see if my socks are on. Have always been a manual transmission guy but about seven years ago the pain in the bottom of my left foot got so bad from using the clutch pedal I had to go to auto. Sports cars with auto suck.

Gotta agree Harry sport cars are made for sticks and pedals . Heck I don't think they make any cars anymore with sticks do they ? ??? ???

I went automatic around 2002. Figured if I broke something on one of the lower limbs, I could still drive.

You have to special order a car with a manual transmission, at least here or back in C-U area IL.  I always had to tell them I wanted a manual transmission than go home and wait for it to arrive. :(

I wonder what the average number of posts is before the topic drifts to something totally unrelated? Not complaining but it likely makes the OP PO'd😄

I do not think most of us old timers here get too annoyed about thread drift. I have seen new folks get annoyed with thread drift. I can understand that, but this forum has been like it is for a decade, and the folks who come here choose to come here.

One foot on the clutch and the other moves between my brake and gas.  I don't need to feel what I am doing as I have been doing it since I was 16.

There are times that second post has nothing what so ever with the first post.

While I have not taken an actual survey, I would guess the dreaded "thread drift" starts as soon as ideas have run out on the original subject.  This was a simple but well related subject.  I read as soon as the original subject matter get away Then try to remember the thread and simply quit reading it.  I made a exception on this one as I have noticed the trigger and hammer cocking get harder or maybe it is my older NAA's are just breaking in, so not sure that is a "bug" to be worked out.  My newer Pug, a newer B/W, I gave to my grandson, and now my Ranger II seem to get progressively harder.  Now I will let everyone get back to the "medication I take"/"automobile transmission"  thread or whatever the original subject was.
