.380 Gaurdian Grips

Hey Guys.  I know some of you guys like to play around with your guns/grips/extras etc.  So here's a question for ya.  My .380 was purchased in the Peoples Republic of CA so it has the funky ILS on it.  According to NAA there grips won't work with the ILS because the screw that has to go through the grip weakens it and causes the grip to break when fired.  Anybody else have a guardian with the ILS and have any luck "fitting" some cool grips to it??
