This is the internet as a whole . Too easy to post useless ,unintelligent ,bullsh*t and trash of anyone and everyone . Just wonder how much would be posted if one had to pay to receive or post this crap . Opinions are like butt holes everyone has one . This internet thing could be so useful but alas its corrupted into the world of stupidity . Just how conceded do you have to be to take a selfie of oneself and post it ,dang its sick .

My question would be, "If anonymity were removed, how brave would some of these cowards be?" It is easy to say mean and nasty things with no one knowing who you are and where you are. I once tracked down a guy who was speaking trash about me. I posted on his thread words to the following, "Hey (his first name), I read the trash you wrote. Anything else like that, and Arizona is only a 2 day road trip from me. It will be easy to be sitting next to your truck when you come out to go to lunch one day. Then you can speak your mind to me directly." Amazingly, he has yet to mention my screen name again.

It is like CB radio. Folks talk a lot of trash but not too many are willing to meet at the Waffle House. When I see the name Grayelky I always picture you as looking like this, maybe he thought the same!

I totally agree. I want to enjoy talking about NAA guns and sometimes other guns here, (in appropriate sub forums), and I want to be courteous and especially to new members and we generally are here.

I guess I'm going to let the cat out of the bag here, (and I think Unc Lee and others), might know who I'm talking about and this was the most insane thing I've ever experienced in over 20 years of being on the internet and it happened here!

There's a member here that's been a member for years. He's been in good standing and is actually very knowledgeable and has contributed many nice posts to new members. He really comes across as a nice guy and likes to show off his knowledge and his pictures of him owning every NAA revolver ever conceived and so many other rare guns that he has.

About a year ago, he started PMing me here about some of my posts and threads and how much he liked them. He came across as a really nice guy. I thanked him and then it all started!

He told me he had issues with many folks here and especially with Uncle Lee. He started sending me book long PM's about how he was confined to a wheelchair and the FBI and the Federal government had come to his house and took all of his guns. He said they accused him of committing lewd acts to his care giver that came to his house to care for him.

He sent PM after PM about he had to go to court and would update me when he did. I never responded but he kept sending PM's about all this and he was terrified they would keep all his guns. All of this stuff was so INSANE!

I finally told him to stop sending me PM's and he sent me one last PM about how he was going to stop posting here. Guess what? He not only didn't stop posting, he ramped up his postings!

He continued to post pictures of all his new guns and he was going to order new holsters from Rick and was considering buying new guns! AGAIN, INSANE!

Anyway, I've noticed he's stopped posting for awhile and I think he's somehow behind this email I received but I could be wrong.

The internet really is a crazy place nowadays.

I was almost sure when I let the "cat out of the bag" in my post above, most of you folks would come aboard and ridicule me and tell me to leave these forums.

I didn't start this thread to let "the cat out of the bag" but I just couldn't watch this person show off all of HIS guns with pictures over and over to new members coming aboard but I have to admit, he had some great pictures.

He really is intelligent and does have knowledge of NAA guns and other guns and a lot of his threads and posts were very informative but again, he truly is INSANE and that's what's so scary about being online nowadays!

I touched on how crazy some of his PM's to me in the above post were but they don't even come close to others that were even much more insane!

I will let the cat out of the bag here and some of you have guessed or knew, it's Wharthog or what some affectionately call Wharty!

Let's talk about these wonderful NAA creations we all love love but I will say one LAST thing.

Bill, (bill_deshivs), like I said in other posts, you really are a master craftsman and you are a welcomed and valued member here. I gave you a pass on those abalone grips you made for my .22 short revolver that I had to spend over 4 hours judicially filing them to fit after I paid you $120.00 and the $10.00 return shipping for a pair that should have fit without all my work.

You did apologize and said you now have blanks where they would now fit. In all honesty brother, you should have done the right thing in the beginning and told me to send the grips back and you would make a pair that would fit correctly.

Anyway, this is NOT a condemnation of Bill but telling the truth about Wharthog!

This thread sounds like a couple of members have a grudge against each other.
Unfortunately, I'm caught in the middle.
The strange thing is they are both customers of mine.

As you may know, I received the grips day before yesterday. I went to put them on my .22 short mini yesterday and was surprised as there was no way these were going to fit without major surgery.

The metal backing was way off of the contours of my mini. I'm no craftsman like you so with a Dremel and small files, working very carefully, taking a little off and checking fit each time, I finally got them on after over 4 hours work. Whew!

There must be large discrepancies between these minis and especially down through the years. This mini I bought in 1993 and the one you have must be newer, (or ?), so hence the differences in fit I imagine. I can see why guys who buy mini grips from custom makers and even from NAA and have issues concerning proper fit.

I took a tiny bit too much off of the left grip but it still fits okay as I torqued the grip screw down very carefully until it was snug. I know not to torque the grip screws down too tight as I've broke a set of grips in the past doing it.

Anyway, they're on and look great. Thanks for making them for me. By the way, back in 1993 I paid $106.00 for the mini short. Boy, those were the days!...Gene"

Bill, I really want no conflict either. I should have just sent the grips back to you when they were so far off from fitting and I should have done that but it would have entailed cost of shipping them back and you charging me shipping them back to me after I already paying $140.00! I was just frustrated and decided I would try fitting them myself. Again, it's MY fault for not shipping them back!

Look, I didn't start this thread to slam Bill and I apologize as he is a craftsman but charges thusly.

I'm just glad this "cat is out of the bag"...Finally! Close this thread if you want but the truth has FINALLY come to light!
