It seems that lately we have not had a lot of threads with lots of photos. I called this thread Minis, Timepieces, and Pocket Stuff in hope of scaring up some photos. When I went looking I was surprised at just how few timepieces I own. So I will not be posting a lot of different watches to this thread. I know that some of you fellows have pretty big collections of old watches, and even though I have never collected watches myself I do like seeing them.

Anyway, the purpose of this thread is to get some photos, so if you have something cool that you want to post, post away!

Wow Dinadan you'd be the talk of the court house having to empty your pockets before you enter . Myself I warn the deputies not to play with my mini while their are keeping it for me , I can see one of these guys shooting themselves accidently looking it over , they are a piece of amazement to these fellas ...
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Uncle_Lee

Yes, I just spent 15 minutes staring at those pictures.

Nice, Very Nice.
Thank You.

I have to admit that the 1st image was worth entry into a 4H Best Photo contest.  The objects were so well placed and balanced out the picture.

And a Peacock brand pocket warmer! Not as common as some that are available.

Dinadan

Thanks for the encouragement, fellows! I will post some more photos, but some of you fellows have a lot more watches and minis than I.

PaPa K - I wondered if anyone would even recognize that Peacock as a pocket warmer. It is a cool little gizmo and does actually work.

Uncle_Lee

Oh Yes,
These are nice.
Come on folks get out your mini (minis) with "stuff" and get some pictures up.

I'm gonna have to remember to get a shot of my pocket watch with one of my minis. When I do there's a pretty neat story to go along with it.

Absolutely beautiful, Dinadan!  Quite a collection--and a great idea for a picture post!   :D

Although I don't carry a pocket watch, I do carry these ...
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

I think I have two watches - haven't seen either one of them in years. I'm a minimalist when it comes to carrying stuff with me - I don't even like dealing with keys!

Me too.  That is why I limit myself to carrying only two firearms.  But my wife has one, so I feel better.

Just check Amazon, the source of all things!

That is a great photo of your pocket carry, Ranger Jim. Nice stuff! Just to be completely honest, I do not always carry a watch, but if I am wearing a vest I usually drop one in the pocket.

Thanks for the kind comments, fellows. Here are a couple of more photos. First is my short, which I actually almost never carry. Second is my 2.5' Sidewinder, which I do carry quite often. When I take my daily walk (2 miles +-) the telescoping baton is for dogs and the revolver is for serious stuff. I have never drawn the revolver on my walk, but I have pulled out the baton a couple of times for dogs that I thought might really bite. They did not!

Dinadan,
Thank you for the info on the bird caller.

That is a nice "walking outfit" you have there.

In my area, don't have to worry too much about other folk's dogs and,of course, the two legged varmits are always a possibility.

The real problem are the coyotes.  This last year we had over six folks attacked while walking their dogs. This is not in the woods but in suburbia.

Getting back to watches,I have my grandfather's super slim  Pocket watch that I occasionally put in my watch fob pocket in my jeans.

They don't seem to make watches like that anymore.

Ok so I bought this pocket watch for my dad for Christmas back in 1984. I found it in an antique shop and it was had an inscription that said Merry Christmas 1904. I had it inscribed as well. My dad worked on clocks and pocket watches as a hobby and when he was looking it over he found that it was manufactured in 1886 so I believe I got a deal. When pop passed on he left it to me and it still runs great. I carried it at my wedding but normally it's under a glass dome on display in my home. One of my kids will get it when I pass.

Dinadan

Very nice photo, and watch, and story, and Mini, Joe! That watch certainly looks worthy of residing under a glass dome.
