I got to fondle a Ranger II, at the LGS today after picking up my new Guardian.

When I opened it, I saw that the extractor was several degrees off, partly blocking the chambers. Clerk said the only other one they've had did the same way. He just turned it straight with his fingers. Normal ??

Not a problem with mine, seldom gets out of alignment and if it does it is very little and is corrected by opening the breaktop top just a little and closing again.

Normal ,,,,, shouldn't be . Craftsmanship is slipping everywhere we turn these days , when the Chinese stuff starts looking good WATCH OUT (Oriental car industry) !!! Our eye for quality is also slipping seems not too many care about anything being just so so and wouldn't see it if they tripped over it , shame . When the manufacturers feel this way we are doomed as an industrial giant . Just because of a little out of alignment , ha .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

I have not noticed this with the ones coming through the shop. I'm out of town currently, but will check next week and report back here. I have 2 in the shop right now.

I found that some of the screws in the Ranger II needed tightening when I first received mine. Maybe the cylinder pin/extractor pin needs a little adjustment and then proper tightening to correct the problem?
