Cased the BT with a case I got off Ebay and stripped out.  Not as detailed as Earl, guess what the compartment below the BT is for? Am I being optimistic?

A 22 short Break Top Ranger Jr? Yes, I think so...

I'm impressed.  Guess I have to get to work on the 8-drawer storage chest I found on Amazon.  I plan a recessed cradle for each of my pistols, with a small brass hasp and the NAA padlock securing each drawer.

Nah,  the compartment is for the LR Cylinder.....  (my guess....)

How about a LR cylinder?

quickdraw

Whoa when did they start making breaktops?  Just kidding.

chopprs

Hey that is really nice. You are handy and much more patient than me.

Nice case

I think the compartment's for your credit card so it'll be handy when the next early bird offer comes round

My serious guess is LR cylinder.

speedloader and LR cylinder.

cedarview kid

LIKE. (Oh wait, this ain't facebook. Still like.)

45flint

Found new use for the compartment below besides speedloader and LR cylinder.  I just order some real pearl grips so when they arrive I have a place to store the original grips so I don't loose them.

Still have the ebony and figuired walnut scales to mess with on a cold winter day.

Ain't it fun how we like to dress up our minis like a ten-year-old girl does with her Barbie doll?

45flint

I think Patton would have something to say about pearl handle gun.  Reminds me however of a turn of the century gambler.

chopprs

......I never had a Barbie Doll Dar. Was it fun?

cedarview kid

I had a crush on a girl in the about the fitth grade when she asked if I wanted to go upstairs and see her Barbies. I only agreed because I liked the girl--and I promise I DID NOT enjoy the Barbies themselves. Honest.

My only other experience with Barbies is getting them for my two daughters as gifts. I made the comparison because I ASSUMED that girls about age ten liked to dress them up, because I've seen it. That is the limit to my experience.

Whew. Glad I cleared that up.

Methinks me getting me manlihood questioned too much. ;)

chopprs

.....LOL!

You guys are like the coffee clutch at Starbucks!

cedarview kid

So, is there some sort of hidden meaning in including the Consumer Reports Buying Guide in the upper right corner? LOL.

chopprs

.......when I was a little kid I had a G.I. Joe and and my brother and I used to steal my sister's Barbies and our G.I. Joe's would dismember them......

Here you notice the consumer reports but you don't know the arrowheads I made in the case below.

cedarview kid

Oh. I had to check for the arrowheads. Cool. I guess I'm more of a verbal person, so I noticed words. Interesting.

45flint I love the cases!

45flint

Cool thing is I have about $15-20 bucks in those cases.  Getting them off ebay and just finishing them with dividers and cloth.  There was a learning curve to the Earl but I did the simple one for the TB in a couple of hours.

   Steve

That's all? Wow, that is cool. How about some pics of the outside of the boxes?

45flint

Here are the closed cases.  Also the ebay listing where I picked up the case.  The cases take some searching but I think it is best if the inside dimensions of the  case matches the length of the gun, then it looks like it was custom made.  Both these cases were in new condition.  I save myself grief and time by using the upper parts as they are and matching the cloth at Jo Anns.  Jo Anns has black hobby foam panels, the dividers are 1/8 wood strips from hobby store, sprayed with adhesive glue and the cloth laid on top. Same with the foam bottoms of the compartments.
