Just saw the latest upload of Gunblast.com where Boge was covering the NASGW Expo recently in Orlando.  Amelia was showing the new 4" Barrel version of the Ranger II.  The short video begins about 5:50.  Just started saving for a 2.5 Inch Barrel.  Sigh.

Curious if the barrels are easily interchangeable?

Is it me or does that look a bit heftier than a normal Ranger II... I'm not referring to the barrel. The grip looks larger. Or maybe she just has really small hands  ???

Canoeal

No, small person...Mag frame size with boot grips...

Something looks different about it.  Believe the 2.5" is more proportional...  gotta have one though, terrible weakness for break tops.

The real reason to buy one is that it doesn't have to be on the approved list in the DPRK. That is why I would like to know if the barrels can be easily changed. Even then the price would probably keep me from ever getting one.

At first I thought the grips might be a little longer, but after looking closer, I think they are the standard ones. HOWEVER, the "lug" under the barrel area is longer and a little beefier.

I need one to build Holsters with! (and because I think they are cool!)  ;)

The 4" Barrel Ranger II in a Cross-Draw Holster will be "The Bomb!"

Photo is of the 4" Bbl. Mini Master.... that look but, imagine the bottom tapered a little narrower for the Rangers narrower barrel.

Is there a date set for release yet?  ::)

I think it resembles my stainless Bearcats, even more if it had a trigger guard. Looks-wise, no guard makes it out of proportion in height versus length. The extra sight radius is worth it for accuracy, but I'd prefer the 2.5.

So yes, the underlug is longer...I like it, but it won't fit in my pocket or pocketbook...$$$

That has potential to become a regular plinker.....

I couldn't get enough out of that set to pay for a set of 4" Ranger II.

uncle_lee-
Be careful! I could probably be talked into trading a PAIR of 4" Ranger IIs for a pair of original Rangers. And, I might just cover shipping both ways.

Uncle Lee; you can just give me two of your Pugs and you will have the room for these two new ones.  ;)

I think what the 4-inch Ranger really needs is a small, adjustable rear sight.  Then it would qualify as a trail/survival piece, a great trapper's pistol, and a fine little plinker.

Happy trails,

So Uncle Lee; are you saying you will have to give me four Minis instead to make up for the longer barrel lengths?  ::)

I agree, Grayelky. Definitely a larger dimension under the barrel. Would be nice if she could hold it still!

I just read that article and OH YEAH gotta have one of those loonnngggg barrels (even if it has that hook latch, oh well) and one of those Rancher carbines to boot (45 Colt) if possible . I hate looking at gun magazines , they drive my bottom line down , like Unc I have too many already .
