Well...not necessarily the auto-revolver aspect.  Maybe I should have said Rhino instead.  The barrel being lined up with the bottom cylinder instead of the top.

Just a thought.

Ah. I was wondering what feature you meant. Sure, I like the Rhino design.

Mateba style .22 mag.

Or because everyone seems to want a .32 ACP..   Mateba style .32 ACP.

I went with an over-sized rosewood grip. It's just a bit thicker than I would have liked, but it sure helps the feel of the gun. I lost a little on concealment, but gained a lot in handling.

Not having actually fired any of the NAA weapons I can't say this for sure but I'd imagine they don't have a whole lot of kick.  Center-lining the action and barrel on something similar to the mini-master platform might be a step towards a competition capable gun.  I know revolvers aren't quite the thing anymore but ya never know!  :-P

cedarview kid

Not a lot of kick, but it can be a challenge to hold onto the Magnum Frame mini and fire Magnums with such of a small grip. It tends to flip up, as you might can imagine. I keep my thumb on the top of the grip to prevent it from popping up; that works pretty well.

I call it... the "Ultra Master."

So anyway, I was reading the "Curious, Custom, and Collectible" NAA page.
http://northamericanarms.com/ccc_info

Think they would make me an Ultra Master and a Superhog? I could understand if they're not quite ready to make an "Anaconda" yet.

I don't think they would make it.
But if they would, I'll take two.

9.5" 1860?
I'll take two.

4" Sidewinder?
I'll take two.

Any type .32 acp mini?
I'll take two.

NAA's CCC page says they may decide to do a run of 10 guns with their option to produce more if they want.

Therefore, by NAA policy, if we can get 10 guns worth of 9.5" 1860 interest going...

I bet we could do it.

Well, uncle lee... a pair for you, and I'm down for a single 9.5 with conversion and custom serial #TGJAYNE-01

Mr N.C. wants a pair also, I'm sure.

So that's 5, anyone else? We are serious. We need 5 more, by NAA policy.

Uncle_Lee

OH, I forgot.
I want the conversion cylinders also.
UL01 & UL02

Chopprs might want in on this.
I'll check.

Nope on Chopprs.

People, regulars and lurkers!!!

Listen up!!!

Now is your one and only chance to have something in this world that very, very, very few people have.

A North American Arms Model 1860 with a barrel 9.5 inches long and a conversion cylinder for shooting shorts and long rifles.

You can have your own special serial number.

Buy two and have you and your sweetie's name on them for the serial number.

Now YOU can be the object of envy of everyone on this board.

People will look at your pictures and praise you for what you have and they can only wish for it.

Think about it Lurkers, you can come out in the open and be immediately looked up to.

How's that?
Think I'll sell any?

Thanks.

I might be able to use that as a sales point.

I'd love to have one but I can't begin to imagine what it would cost.

I photoshopped a 9.5-inch Hogleg once and can probably do the same for an Earl. I don't have available time right at the moment, but I'll get to it!

Maccab

What about a kind of Le Mat pistol, .410 single barrel as the revolvers axis pin, it could swing out like that revolver someone posted a picture of...

Or a blank firing .22 short mini for British folk  :D

Maccab

The Iver Johnson Shattuck revolver posted by lcorn, only it has a .410 barrel as a cylinder axis pin, perfect.

Oh come on collector.
The Hogleg is just a long Earl.
So the 9.5" 1860 is the same.

The picture, please.......

Yup. Only have photoshop on my PC laptop, not the Mac I use for almost everything. Sorry, it'll probably have to be tomorrow! :( :( :(

TwoGunJayne

Mr NC, the "photoshop" for your mac is called "The Gimp." Debian/Ubuntu users can install it with a simple command line. If you know MS paint, you should get it easy enough. That said, I am no master at it. It probably took me an hour and a half to edit that mini master picture. I'm not that good. Its what I used on that other cheap computer to make the "ultra master" photoshop. It works well enough, and it doesn't cost $600. It's the computer that the "tech guy" said I could use. Oh well, whatever. It worked, at least as far as I can tell. Maybe that "linux" stuff might be worth looking into these days?

Unfortunately, I'm running amok on other people's computers this weekend! I should get back to the party, yes?

'night fellas!

Sorry, I'm a Photoshop guy. I don't care for the freebies. I like "the real thing." :)

Hello, friends!

Here is my version of the 9.5 inch hogleg. I nominate this model to be called the "Super Hog."

It would look approximately like this.

We have interest in 5 super hogs with conversion cylinder so far. We need 5 more pistols to be spoken for by forum members and this dream might become a reality by NAA policies.

We would be the only ones, custom serial numbers for everyone.

Someone in another thread mentioned that these would be "California-legal." Sounds like a reason to make more than ten.

Well, how about it, NAA? 5 for us forum members who have spoken and sell the rest to California? I'm sure you could move 5 units in a state with so many people.

Uncle_Lee

TGJ,
Thanks.
I'll take two for sure.

The ones that want them may have to double up so we can get them........

OK, fine. I'll bump my order from one up to two. ;)

TwoGunJayne

Well, oh fine! I guess I'll have to take two with conversion cylinders and get the Kid to make me some derringer suspenders to take the Super Hogs x 2 and something shorter down low for Quad Carry.

Custom serials TGJayne-01 and TGJayne-02, no bird's head or boot grips for me. I would like for mine to come with the oversize wood grips... I'd really prefer them to come with black Chongs, though. It's to match the black derringer suspenders that I want so badly.

Now how are we going to get spare cylinder pouches DISCREETLY on the derringer suspenders?

California will buy the rest. Do we really NEED 4 more people to step forward? Sure! It's called the "Early Bird." STEP UP, FORUMITES! De-cloak and come out of lurking!

.54Cal_Kidd

I think I'll hop on that bandwagon just because.
Order for one convertible please. Serial number MJ00001

TGJ = 2
NC = 2
UL = 2
54k = 1
Gray = 1

We have 8. Just 2 more to go...

Uncle_Lee

Come on Folks.
Here is your only chance to own a one in ten really long barreled mini.
Think of the conversations that will start at the range when you drag that up and out of an IWB holster.
They think it is a mini.
Nope, maybe a sheriff.
Nope, (it still keeps coming up) maybe an Earl.
Nope, (more comes up) OK we know now. It's a Hogleg.
Nope, still 3.5 inches of barrel left to come up and out.

It is a SUPERHOG and there are no more like it for sale so eat your hearts out.

I'll be number 10. Don't really want one, but, it will be different. I'll take #10. I think we all know if 12 get interested, NA will make them!

I don't have any idea how to make this work.

Who is going to be our contact?
Well, can WE order them from NAA?

How much are they going to be?
Where do I send my Money Order?
God, Country, & Flag

LET'S GO BRANDON ( he is gone to the beach )

TwoGunJayne

We would probably have to nominate a representative to contact them once we hit the critical number of 10 pieces. NAA policy says that if we get 10 together, they will consider it.

I'm guessing the representative would tell NAA about the Early Bird thread and they would begin the process of "thinking about it."

The representative needs to point out to NAA that these things would likely sell in addition to the fact that we have 10 people for the minimum small run, according to their policies.

After that, it would be up to NAA how to handle the transfer. Their minimum small run policy doesn't mention that part.

BigCountry86

This is my first post, but I'm a long time naa shooter. I'd love to see a sidewinder with a black widow style
Barrel

Uncle_Lee

Howdy Big86, a Sidewinder with any different length of barrel would be nice.
I would go with a 4" though.
