Prestige Grips has polymer pearl or carbon fiber for the Guardian 32, or 380, $55. I know nothing about them beyond their website. I just found it today.

Polymer pearl; or Carbon Fiber finishes of matte or gloss twill weave, smooth or checkered; available in Black, Black Marbled, Bronze, Silver Metallic, Blue, Red; & apparently Kevlar only in Green. Says 4-6 week wait.

The website is a little hard to navigate -

Chill Bill

Hey Bearcatter --- yes, I saw those, too.  I read a couple reviews that were positive.  I know Brian with designer grips has been on here some, and his CF work is very popular on the Seecamp forum.  I'm just not sure carbon fiber is what I want, but it's on the possibility list.

I was thinking of starting a Guardian grips thread, since my new-gun review drifted to this topic!  So let's use this that you started to compare notes.  All Guardian owners or interested peeps -- please add, subtract, edit, comment with updates & photos.

What's working for you? It's all about personal preference and how you purpose your firearm.  These options below aren't exhaustive, but will get us started.

Grip Options:

1.  Stock grips:
Pros:  good quality; streamlined profile for concealed carry
Cons: not sticky; some find them too thin and/or slippery when wet

2.  NAA Hogue wood grips (NAA site):
Pros:  good looking combined with SS good quality; adds thickness for heftier grip
Cons: may find them too bulky for pocket carry; some find them too thick for comfort

3.  Stock with grip tape and/or Hogue slip ons
Pros: retains stock streamlined profile for CCW while adding stickiness that some want
Cons: functional but not necessarily pretty; tape is DIY so requires some careful application to look good & stay put

4.  Custom carbon fiber
Pros: durable; more likely a little bit thicker than stock, but less than the Hogue wood; can be slick or textured for preference; color options
Cons: may be textured but not sticky; limited makers (but designergrips is well established in Seecamp circles and does make Guardian grips)

5.  Misc DIY
--Google "custom DIY gun grips".  . . . painting epoxy on grips and infusing with silicon rubber grit; colored or clear flexible epoxy paint with silicon grit additive.  The silicon rubber may help with stickiness, just like grip tape but conforms to the curves on existing grips better and leaves some options for creative coloring.  There's alot of marine epoxies, "modified flexible epoxies", etc, that are interesting possibilities.

The Prestige Grips are stated to be 3/8" thick at the palm swells, the thickest point. That would make the Guardian about 5/16 inch thicker than stock.

Another stock grip plus: $15 !!

Let us not forget grip option #6. Checkering of the front and back straps. The stock grips with rubber grip panels added are great except for the lack of anything grippy at the front and back straps. They are just too smooth. Add some checkering to those rubber grip panels and we would not need to have this conversation.   ::)
