Hey guys. Quick question. I'd like to get a mini Pelican case to use sometimes for no print front pocket carrying. Just curious if anyone knows the proper model/size for the 1 and 1/8" magnum mini?
And is it ok to keep the gun in an air tight environment like this or would there be issues with humidity?

Thanks!

Cannot help you with a 22M but I looked at boxes for my 22LR mini.  Unfortunately even the smallest of boxes was far too much for a front pocket.  Even in a side cargo pocket they are a bit much.  I think it would be better to get a regular pocket holster, many of which have a flat side specifically to be worn on the "outside" in order to prevent printing.  Not to mention you ain't getting the pistol out in any sort of a hurry.

But since you asked: my 22LR mini will not lay flat in a SOLKOA small box, but fits at an angle well enough to close the lid.  A Pelican 1010 micro case is slightly larger at 4.4" × 2.9" × 1.7" which should be enough for a 22LR but not quite enough for a 22M, although a person might be able to cram one in at an angle (it has a cushioned bottom and sides so there is some give).  I have a few of the 1010 boxes but sorry, not sure where to look for them right now.  For a better fitment for a 22M there is a Pelican 1015 with 5.1" × 2.6" × 1.4" interior dimensions.  There is also a larger sized SOLKOA box with 4 3/4" x 2 7/8" x 1 3/8" interior space but IMHO neither would fit well in anything less than a side cargo pocket.

As for humidity I think that would be a minimal problem.

Although I would not carry one in a box in my pocket I would carry one in a pack as a semi-secure storage method.  If you really wanted a box either the Pelican 1015 or maybe figure out what box the the magnum sized Bugout pistols came with.  Seems like that would be a known good fitment.

Something like this pocket holster from DGL is much better than a box...Except when boating, then the Plano box works...but not in a pocket.
