17 hmr

Who all has a 17 hmr in the magnum frame.. i have one.. low serial number super low.. called costomer support.. was told only 1200 was all that was made in 17 hmr.. any other info??

Which model do you have?
I have a Black Widow in 17 HMR that is unfired, with the original receipt, in the box. It also came with the box of ammo shown on the receipt. I don't know the serial number off the top of my head.

  AGAIN another rifle round made for speed , I just don't get it putting in a mini frame , what a waste of a relatively great round (FOR A RIFLE) . Guess someone wanted to see more flash (flame thrower) shooting them from mini's . My opinion 22 magnum is in the same category also .

I agree with the assessment of the .17 hmr. The round is too light. I also remember the guns had an issue when using that round.
The facts as shown in the chart below, say differently for the 22 wmr. Being a small caliber, I want the most bang for my buck.
Oh, and using ammo designed for short barrels eliminates most of the flash. Use the best round in the right gun.
Using Gold Dots increases the velocity by 100 fps and the ME by 15 (round numbers for a BW).

Welcome to the exclusive 17-NAA club! I owned 7 of them at one point, including a .17-Mach-2 mini, based on the smaller .22LR frame. Unfortunately, I ended up selling them all. It got to the point where I had a hard time justifying owning 38 NAA firearms, LOL. I also ended up selling my Talos, of which I had 5 or 6.

Mines #ES0038X  Key holes everything I've shot through it. I sent it in and they counter sunk the crown. Looks horrible. Wish they hadn't done that. Still key holes so it resides in the safe.
