What front pocket holster do you use?

I have been carrying my .22mag with the 1 1/8" barrel in my front pocket and have decided that I need a pocket holster for it. I would like on that is not too thick. The ones I have had for other guns actually draw more attention to my pocket than if I would have just put the gun in there. I haven't seen too many pocket holsters out there for this gun.

What front pocket holster do you use?

None!

I am confident enough in the hammer notch, that I just drop my NAA .22 LR mini in my front pocket, usually the "watch" pocket of a pair of cheap Cherokee carpenter jeans that I use for work.  If fits perfectly in there.

There's a place who makes "clip grips" for the Magnum versions, that would be convenient.

I want max concealment and convenience, and so a pocket or IWB holster for my .22 LR model seems to defeat the purpose, to add more bulk to a gun I bought because it was so small........kind of like using a holster for the .22 Short model..........the whole strength of the Short and LR models is tiny size, for easy pocket carry.

When I get my PUG, which is a bit larger and I like the larger grips on it, I plan to use an IWB and a pocket holster for it.......for the times when I can carry something just a little larger, but not one of my .38 or .357 revolvers.

A leather pocket holster with ammo pouch similar to this one by PatriotJoe for under $ 30 is a very nice value.
I wet molded mine to fit the gun like a glove.

I PREFER CONCEALMENT HOLSTER SOLUTIONS POCKET HOLSTERS AND HAVE THE PUG TRADITIONAL IN BLACK.

What blue_heron said!  I use mine all the time.  It has shaped nicely to the curve of my leg.

I picked up a piece of soft leather from Michael's and folded it over the Mini, stitched down around it and trimmed everything that was not covering the gun. It keeps the mini protected from dings, dust and lint, and it breaks up the outline w/o adding any appreciable bulk. I am on my 2nd one, as the first finally wore through in several places.

98tj,

I use one like that for my Pug. Great holster. :)

There are a number of really good holsters featured on this site.  I happen to use a Concealment Solutions holster and am happy with it.

Remora.  I'm not sure if their site has it listed, but I know they make one.  I called and the guy said when buying, just make a note that it's for the black widow.  I like that its still thin in the pocket, but it makes IWB an absolute breeze.  I generally avoid IWB if at all possible for my other ccw guns (just not very uncomfortable), but with my remora it's still very comfy and the black widow is locked in as tight as any iwb I've tried.

I ordered a pocket holster from http://www.concealmentspecialties.com/home.html and it works great! It was only $15 and included a little pocket for a second cylinder.

Have the oversized grip on a .22WMR 1 1/8th.  Been using an Uncle Mike's #2 and find it comfortable.

I got a $8 pocket holster from walmart and sewed the shape around the gun so it just slides in and doesn't roll around or tip inside the pocket holster.  Works Great!

Wild Bill's out of Raleigh N.C. makes a really good one that my wife uses and I also have one from the NAA products line

Rkba holsters are my favorite. Carry a break top in one every day. Also have one for Pug. Really good guy to work with.

I came across an interesting alternative a few months ago;  the Holster Patch (see pics at www.holsterpatch.com.  They have cutaway pics of how it rides in a pocket.)  I purchased a couple to make my own holster T-shirts.  I wear loose cargo-type pants with deep pocktes, so holsters tend to flop too much, but this DIY patch sewn into a pocket puts the gun above the bottom of the pocket and protects it from keys and loose change.  The down side is it gets sewn into the pocket, but at $7.25 you can buy a few.

No, this is not my company and is not a paid endorsement.  Just a nice alternative to traditional pocket holsters.

I got a couple from MADHAT.  They hold position really well.
I, too, wish he was back.  (Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. MADHAT)

Currently, I carry my 22lr 1 1/8" in an Oxblood Madhat and my 22 WMR 1 5/8" in an oxblood Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake belt/pocket holster. Pictured is a couple of creations from our very own Mr. MadHat made from pre-ban Ivory I sent him along with a picture of my daily carry options showing both of the a fore mentioned holsters. Jason.....I hope you are well and that you come back to us soon. Not just for your amazing talents, but because you made a great number of friends through us and we miss you. God Bless you Jason and keep you safe.
