Sounds like a rush to judgement IMHO. I would like to hear all the details first before I make judgement.

NO ONE mentions that Floyd- a career criminal and felon, was attempting to pass a counterfeit 20 dollar bill.
It's a shame when anyone dies in police custody- but if you stay OUT of police custody the chance goes to 0.

I'm a firefighter here in Tennessee, and thankfully by and large people have been protesting without much in the way of rioting. Certainly not the sorts of things we've been seeing in Minneapolis or New York.

When tensions run high all around, it's easier than ever to fall into the trap of generalizing groups which could be categorized in an infinitely arbitrary way as if they're a monolith rather than individuals.  Nobody likes it when it's done to them, yet it seems to happen all too often, particularly during times of frustration. When people are senselessly hurt, and you feel powerless to stop it, this is exacerbated and as we're all human it's all too easy to act rashly.

This is where having something you believe in can serve as a reminder, as your shoreline, so you don't get lost.  One thing that always resonated with me was this.

When the media seems to only show you what maximizes views, clicks and ad revenue, and the individual accounts are so charged with emotion.  It's difficult to pick the useful bits of signal from the noise. It's easy to fall into a sense of despair.  It seems like it's so much,  what can one person do?

The older I get, the more I feel Fred Rogers was right during times like these -- look for the helpers.   From public safety reminding their own, when they're stressed and close to stepping out of line, why they are there, to protestors telling looters to stop hurting their community, that this isn't the way... the helpers are out there, and there are more than you think.

What can one person do?  In the end, all we can control is our own actions, and all we can do is set an example.  That's how you change the world, after all, one person at a time.

Burncycle that's a beautiful quotation but left out "shoot only as your last resort" . ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .
