Has anyone here used their Mini revolver in self defense of themselves or others from two or four legged critters?
It wasn't a Mini revolver but I did once in the line of duty in the Sheriffs Dept.

Fortunately I've have not had to use mine or any of my other guns for self defense but I'm glad I've got them just in case.

Back in 1978, I owned a convenience store located in a rural area 5 miles from town, in S.C.  One night around closing time, this person pulls his car up near the door, exits wearing a Halloween type devils mask.  I'm standing behind the cash register right by the door.  I had my 32 revolver in hands length right under the cash drawer.  I nervously pull it out, point it at the door as he starts to open it.  He sees my gun pointed at him, backs away, and hauls a** away.  It scared me so bad I got no description of the would be robber except he was driving a white car headed to the beach or where ever.

Immediately after he pulled off I felt faint, nauseated, and I fell back against a rack of cigarettes and  chewing tobacco, everything tumbling to the floor.

I never saw a gun in his hand, or if he had his hand in his coat pocket.  Would I have shot him?  Yes I would have, all five or maybe that tiny revolver held six, don't remember.  Long gone in a trade. I have no doubt that little gun may have saved my life.  Scared the sh** out of me.   That was in Feb, and I started looking for a buyer right away, and sold business in May.  Decided that with a wife and two very young children it wasn't worth the risk.  I guess that's one reason I am partial to 32's to this day.

Not for any 2 legged but did have to protect my bees. One day I was working my bees and saw a bear eating blackberries near some of my hives. One shot between the legs sent the bear back up the mountain.

Thank you God, never. Been threatened more times than I can remember by angry intoxicated patients in the ER, but they never kept their promise to remember me outside and get even for stabilizing their injuries.

There was a post on here back when I first started hanging around, about a 22 mag mini being used in a confrontation that started on a basketball court, between an adult male and two young boys over ownership of the ball, and when the man threatened and advanced on the boy's grandfather, the grandmother passed the mini from her purse to the grandfather who fired one shot, breaking the pelvis of the advancing man, for a one shot stop, in what was deemed a valid self defense shooting.
