Interestingly, they got different chrono results from their test than I did from my 4"Earl, reinforcing my opinion that every gun is an individual, an experiment in ammo and grips to find what works best on each.
My 4"Earl got 1220fps from Gold Dot 40gr, 1311fps from CCI 40gr Maximag, and 1596fps from CCI 30gr poly tip, all of which informed my choice of the CCI as carry ammo. If I'd gotten his result, the Gold Dot would have won. As usual, YMMV.
