Looking for information about this belt buckle pistol

My mom passed away last year and while going through her things we ran across this belt buckle pistol.  I was just curious of about it.  Not trying to sell it. Was it something that was custom made, or sold by North American Arms some time ago?  I cleaned it up and fired it a few times.

i remember something like that being sold about a decade or so ago and it was very expensive even then.  I wouldnt be shooting that.

AFAIK, all factory belt buckle w/gun issues were .22 Short models.

It could have been a factory special, or a customization of a regular Mini, but I know one thing about it - it's AWESOME !
