Greetings.
Newbie here. Stumbled across this site looking for info on the NAA Mini Venom gun...real beauty, I think.
I have a Cobra Classic 22LR and as cute as it is and easily concealable it is a *** to fire...because of the darn trigger design. If anyone here has one or has tried to fire one you know what i mean.
Looking into getting the NAA 22LR or PUG (preferring the model that fits in the oval belt buckle!) and the AntiVenom or Sidewinder look real attractive. Because of a toy derringer I had as a kid and a belt buckle model an old friend of mine had 30 years ago I have wanted all this time, Keep steering toward the model that fits the oval belt buckle.

Overall, I am wondering if the NAA models have the same stupid trigger pull issues as the Cobra.
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard  ! !

FWIW, the triggers on most "get off me" guns have a heavy trigger pull, because they are not target guns - and the stronger pull disappears when one is very excited with SD, aka: "fired in anger"

Welcome carlos,
You are one up on me. I have never heard of a Cobra Classic. After you get 15 posts and can get in quick, please post a picture of the Cobra.

Uncle Lee, I never heard of them either. Found this review:

Carlos, welcome.  I've never measured the trigger pull of the mini I've carried since the '80's, but it's stiff enough to not be a target trigger but not so stiff that I can't hit a paper plate at 7 yds. I'm so happy with it I have not looked to replace it as my carry gun for over 30 yrs.

The cobra classic, made by Cobra Enterprises Utah, a now defunct company. All reviews I found for this gun complain about a terrible trigger and hammer pull. I would guess the trigger on any NAA would be better. Just guessing, as I've never seen a cobra in person.

I used to see the .22lr and .22wmr Cobras at gun shows for around $119.  They always looked pretty crude.  The NAA minis are in a different class.

From the pictures I see o0nline it looks like the Davis derringer I have. It is a bit hard to cock & best done with two hands. I have no problem with the trigger & both barrels print close to the point of aim. Mine is a .32 ACP & the extractor overrides fired cartridges making it SLOW to reload.

Carlos,
Welcome to the forum. Great bunch of folks here.

I don't think that you will have any problems with the trigger pull on the NAA Minis.  Like it was said in the above posts, the trigger pull is hard but not difficult.

May I suggest that when you get the mini (or hopefully minis) of your choice, you practice at true self defense ranges (10 feet or less).

Cobra had bought Davis Derringers. Now Bearman Industries is going to produce the derringers. I saw on their site that they will no longer put an extractor on rimless cartridges.

I have a Cobra in 22 mag. It was no surprise to me when I learned they went out of business. There is no comparison between the mini and the Cobra. The NAAs can easily be fired with one hand, and are surprisingly accurate. You will be pleased you bought the mini revolver.

The Vernon, I think, is a limited production item. If you found one I suggest you go back and get it. I really like them. If you the Venom, you will also like the Luck, or Good Luck or Dragon variety. Again, a limited production Talo gun. It has a lot of engraving like the Venom, but maybe 50% coverage.

The .22 LR & .22 mag are far less practical than the NAAs. The .38 special, 9mm & I assume the .380 are WAY too large. The only one that makes any sense at all is the .32 ACP & I don't see it listed on the Bearman site.
